My first visit and EVERY visit are always so helpful. Dr. Vachhani is so thorough and he has the kindest delivery of care. He is the Most Significant person for me in the year 2020 and now 2021. He really listens to me and he makes me feel like I matter. I trust him with my life. He is The BEST Gastroenterologist I have been fortunate to know. He follows up, is extremely competent and very proactive. He makes a commitment to providing excellent care. Thank You Dr. Vachhani!

I have been going to Dr. Vachani for years and I am a critical person.. I honestly have to say that he and his entire staff are excellent! From the scheduling, to the anesthesiologist, everything is so professional and caring. Dr. Vachani is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend his services.

Dr. Vachhani is excellent. I was referred to him by another Dr. who told me he was one of the best. I was not disappointed. He is very easy to talk to and very informative. He takes his job and my health very seriously.

I was referred by a doctor covering for my PCP in SLO to Dr. Vachhani because I was majorly yellow and in lots of pain. A few minutes into the appointment, Dr. Vachhani let me know I needed to go to the ER immediately because my gallbladder could rupture at any time. He called over and got me in to have an ERCP and gallbladder removal (2 separate procedures) in 24 hours. I ended up still having issues, which was not his or any of the doctors faults--my liver was failing. So he referred me to a liver specialist at UCLA and worked with him for my treatment. Dr. Vachhani is the best and I really do think he saved my life. I saw a Dr in Templeton a month before him who told me I was a depressed college student who was wanting attention--that I wasn't actually sick. Dr. Vachhani immediately knew my issues and created a game plan and implemented it quickly. He was very kind and compassionate. When I was a little obstinate, he called me out. I really appreciate him and refer people to him when they ask who I went to.

Dr. Atul Vachhani Treated my mother-in-law. He was efficient and kind. He has a lovely bedside manner. Skilled, professional, and compassionate. Thank you, doctor. Side note:rated staff as 3 stars- But not all were unpleasant. Front desk & nurses all respectful with exception of RN Pamela. She kept the curtain open even though my mother in law was in her hospital gown and felt uncomfortable So I closed The curtain. She whips it open without a single word and huffed back to her desk.

I was referred to Dr Vachanni for a colonoscopy by by primary physician in Pismo Beach. I received a call to schedule an appointment, then a few days later another call for the same appointment, then another call for the same appointment. 4 calls total with the office telling me my appointment was with 3 different doctors. I show up for my appointment and had to fill out 30 minutes of paperwork that they said they would send me in the mail which they did not. I then waited until it was my turn to see the doctor but right before I went in they wanted me to sign some papers that said medicare would either pay for an office visit or the colonoscopy but not both and it was going to cost me $75.00 for the visit. This was never mentioned before. I didn't need an office visit, just a routine colonoscopy. They schedule all their patients for an office visit before a colonoscopy. It's just easy money for them. Forget this place and go to a doctor that does not make it policy to stick it to his patients.

Staff was excellent, professional and courteous. Dr. Vachhani was very friendly, understanding, put me at ease, and professional. Appreciate this quality of health care in Santa Maria.

I have been Dr.Vachhani's patient for over five years and I think he is one of the smartest and nicest physicians around. He performed ERCP on my father for a biliary stricture and endoscopy on me without any complications. His depth of knowledge is excellent. To answer a negative review by someone else: doctors are trained to ask for exaggerated amount of alcohol consumption to unravel closet alcoholics. Considering you already have hepatitis C - a liver disease, it is very important to ask for alcohol use for your own good and most alcoholics lie about their addiction. Also, any ulcer in a patient with liver disease can cause life threatening bleeding, hence the need for scope.
