List of Paul Castello's Reviews
His staff is completely horrible. They do not answer the phone or return phone calls when you leave a message. Candice is rude and always has an attitude, she has lost all empathy toward the patients. Sadly, they are very busy and do not lack patients due to the shortage of doctors. I wish that Dr. Castello would prioritize in better staff. Go elsewhere if you can.
Dr. Castello made of two surgeries In my might both arms he did a good job I recommend it him
Dr. Castello was amazing I’m rather young for a knee replacement but I injured it as a young person. I’m 58 and he did an amazing job my knee is fantastic he has an amazing bedside manner and I would recommend him to anyone. I am a year out and my knee feels perfect!
After about 15 minutes into what seemed a normal visit he started edging toward the door. I saw this and said, "I have just a few more questions..." He said "No", walked out the door and into to another patient's waiting room, and closed the door behind him. He never came back to me.
He did not measure the components for my knee replacement correctly and after 9 months of suffering, I had to go to another doctor for a knee revision. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND Dr CASTELLO AT ALL!
I had a knee replacement over 9 months ago and I'm still struggling to recuperate, on all the visits to Dr Castello I was never told what the issue was, his answer was "I don't know " every time. I ended up seen another dr and will be going through another knee surgery (revision) to correct Castellos mistakes.
He is an amazing perfectionist. Would recommend him to anyone. Great Doctor.
I went to the AG Hospital ER after a complete rupture of my achilles tendon. Dr. Castello was the orthopedic MD on call and came in to look at my injury. He took me into surgery the very next morning, and expertly saved the use of my left leg. I have seen him from time to time over the last 22 years since for orthopedic care. He is very skilled as a surgeon, practitioner, therapist and communicator. i highly recommend him and his wonderful offices.
I have been to Dr. Castello several times before. He helped me with the pain on my hands. However, my experiences these past few months have been awful. The quality of service and professionalism of the people who work in his clinic are non existence. I didn’t get a call in regards to the result of my MRI. I needed to call several times to follow-up. They called me back after more than two weeks only to tell me that Dr. Castello doesn’t call on certain cases. So, I asked if she can tell me the result of my MRI. She didn’t or she can’t and only advised me that I will receive a call from their new doctor within two weeks Three weeks past no one called. When I followed up I did get a call for another week. They left me a voicemail on Friday at 5:30pm. No chance for me to call back because they’re already closed. I called again the following Monday and I still have to receive a call back. That was a week ago.
I’m sure Dr. Castello is an excellent surgeon, however, I’ve gone to him 3 times, and not once did he examine my knees or ask about my knee function. He would briefly glance at the imaging studies and say what he saw, and then leave without explaining options or listening to what I had to say. Each visit lasted under 5 minutes, and on my most recent visit, he walked out and down the hall while I was trying to ask him a question. In addition, his office billed my insurance more than $300 for each of those visits, and the office visit report from my most recent visit states that he performed approximately 20 tests, but HE NEVER TOUCHED ME. Most of the information in the report was lifted from shared reports from my previous doctor! Knee surgery is serious. You deserve a surgeon who does a thorough examination, answers your questions, listens when you talk, and keeps accurate (and truthful) medical records. He won’t be doing my knee replacements.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
