Few medical practices rate at excellent but this Family Care Practice certainly does! Not only is the office staff extremely kind and professional, but each and every provider goes above and beyond to assure patients get the very best care possible. Thank you to all ! It's so understandable that you were acknowledged Best Medical Practice on the Central Coast!Barbara Stewart
Doctor Robert "Bob" was nice, I felt comfortable talking to him. He is also a lawyer.
Personable, professional, and thoroughly competent. Listening skills are fabulous
Best Dr bob
Iam so sad. Had a appointment with this doctor. I thought I was early always try to be. They said I was suppose to be there at 9:00, I thought 10 AM, the dr. Got me in, but had little time. And of course not happy, this is a new dr. For me and I really like him! I got home, my appt card said 10 AM. I was right going Togo there and show them .
They don’t see patients with sore throats. After multiple teledoc sessions and being told my doctor would need to see me to confirm what I have (as it can only be done via swab or test), they still refuse to have me in for testing. Doctors are supposed to help, so it’s sad that the office won’t help their patients. Being nice goes a long way and when you’re not feeling well, you don’t want to be talked down to. Feels like they don’t care and try to hide behind policy.
Dr. Okerblom hires great Drs. And nurse practioners! I had broken out with a terrible rash and showed up at the clinic. First practitioner suggested to me first visit that it could be my detergent. I responded by saying I've used same detergent for many years. When I returned with a much worse rash the practioner asked Dr. Bob to look at it. He looked at me and said, "I think it is in your head." Later I was having lunch with my friend and showed her the rash. She said, "I absolutely know that is detergent burn use Arm and Hammer Sensitive Skin and it will go away. She was right. Sometimes more than anything we need a good friend.
Dr Robert Okerblom and his office personnel have been fabulous. I often find a lack of continuity and follow up with other providers but his office and staff are excellent. I’m so grateful to have them all as our primary provider!
I was a very sick kid and Dr Okerblom couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, instead of realizing that i was too complex of a case for him, he just threw out random diagnoses and made me take meds, which all failed and made me feel worse. Eventually, after a year of hell, he referred me to a doctor at USC. This doctor was a world renowned Rheumatologist. I saw him, and he instantly diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. He told me to come back to Dr bob and start a care team in the area to try and get better. When I came back and told bob the diagnosis he said, "Oh, I'm sorry he wasted your time. We don't actually believe in fibromyalgia. I guess we'll keep looking." what a joke. That was the last time I ever saw him. Small town doctors need to realize that they don't know everything and their ego hurts people. He wasted a year of my life all because he thought he knew better.
Dr Bob is a good Dr, but you can't get an appointment if you're not feeling well. The practice as a whole only wants to see well people. They seem to be terrified of Covid

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
