Brentwood Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

By far the best urgent care in Los Angeles. The staff and doctors are all great. I drive from Beverly  Hills to Santa Monica in order to go to Brentwood Urgent Care. Highly recommend

If I could give them zero stars I would. My 70 yo mother went in asking for a travel covid test and paid $95 for a rapid test meaning a PCR test and was given the results of an antigen test without knowing it. So she showed up at LAX with what she thought was a PCR test result only to be turned back because this place fucked up. It cost my mother $800 to get on a new flight not to mention the stress and hassle of finding a new flight to get on.When we went back and told this place that they made a mistake that cost us a lot and we wanted them to rectify it by taking the correct test for my mom the incompetent clueless manager Karina took no responsibility and refused. She just stood there like an ice statue with zero compassion. She took no steps to rectify the situation. Greed and incompetence is what you will get here.If you want an excellent place for Covid testing go to The Shore Hotel on Ocean Ave.

If I could leave zero stars then I would I called and spoke with the receptionist at length about coming for a doctors visit. I was told there was no one and that I could come now. I left my 2 babies at home and rushed there within 30 min. I get there and I am told I can take an appointment for the following day. I showed them the proof of call and gave them specific details about my phone conversation to show I wasnt making his up and they still didnt own to their wrong informationmistake or whatever. Conveniently for them the person I spoke to was out for lunch and the person at the front desk clearly didnt care whatsoever

Now that they are appointment based its much less hectic than when there would be lines of people waiting for COVID testing. Walked in and got an appointment for the following day. Efficient and easy in and out in less than 30 minutes and able to use insurance for rapid PCR testing where as some places only take selfpayment.

On Wednesday I had an anxiety attack about contracting Covid and walked in to  Urgent Care without an appointment. Instead of turning me away Karina at the front desk smuggled me in to get tested and talk with a doctor. Im so grateful for Karinas generosity of spirit. She couldve asked me to leave as was her right but she didnt. She chose to care and displayed to me what we need more of today. And so I write this review to celebrate her. Thank you thank you Karina

The coolest staff ever but what i love the most about the urgent care is Dr. Derek Hsu the sweetest person ever and the most patient doctor ever each time i go there I seriously ask for him immediately and if hes not there no matter how sick i am i would walk away dr. Hsu is very kind and never make you feel like youre sick he makes you feel really comfortable with his kindness and sense of humor Highly highly recommended

Horrible. I went in 2 weeks ago with a very routine issue. I got a test done and only after the doctor said my results were negative did he think to tell me that the machine is actually broken so theres no way of really knowing the results. He then offered to prescribe me an antibiotic because he trusted my instincts even though the test was negative??? Super big red flag. One of the staff members also slammed a door in my face and legit yelled at me so that was fun. Two weeks later they get my sample back from lab and find that it was in fact positive and the doc writes me a prescription. Its been several days and they refuse to fill my prescription. So frustrating. Complete waste of money. Very unprofessional and sketchy. Avoid.

I came here to do my Covidtest. I arrived at 945 AM. Filling out the form paying the premium doing the test and getting the result together took 45 minutes. I had my test result at 1030 AM. The Urgent care was so clean and staffs were so nice. Nisha was super helpful and friendly.If you want to go to an urgent care I highly recommend the Brentwood Urgent Care.

UPDATE I was just called and profusely apologized to for the treatment yesterday. I was assured that this wouldnt happen again and that the proper steps will be taken to address and fix this. I really appreciate their initiative and thoughtfulness not many places do that. I usually love coming here and yesterday was a bad fluke. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A COVID RAPID TEST. I get that they are on a schedule but the male drnurse came in in a huff reeking of cigarettes like It was a chore to be here to do his jo . He then proceeded to whip out a cotton swab like a sword without even warning me shoved it up my nose leaving me gasping. He then left came back in to the room charging towards me with another swab instructed me to open my mouth as he shoved the swab so far back in my throat I start to gag uncontrollably and he gets mad at me saying I shouldnt move. Unreal. The bedside manner of this  guy is beyond appalling especially with something as delicate and uncomfortable as this. Do better.
