I was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor in March of this year and was told It was in my best interest to have it removed ASAP. I have never felt so scared in my life. Luckily I had Dr. Barkhoudarian and his team caring for me throughout this very traumatic time. Natasha his nurse and Andrea his office assistant are very kind and supportive they were always there if I had questions or concerns. In 2001 in had two failed surgeries for hemifacial spams. I went back to injections to stop muscle contractions . After over twenty five years the injections no longer gave me relief. The entire right side of my face would contract and my eye would close. I couldn’t go 5 minutes without a spasm. My ophthalmologist said I have the worst case of his 110 patients with the same condition. Dr Barkhoudarian said that the.technology has improved since my surgeries that it is possible to cure my condition. His concern was the prior surgeries and the length of time since my surgeries make the odds of complete recovery higher. This is day five after the surgery and I am spasm free for the first time in 25 years. Truly a life changer. Thank you Dr. Barkhoudarian for excellent outcome.

Dr. Barkhoudarian is a healer in every single aspect. He has wonderful bedside manner, is extremely knowledgeable, and I am evermore greatful to him for saving my life. Everytime I have the honor to see Dr. Barkhoudarian he goes above and beyond to make sure that I understand my condition but most importantly that I am well. Dr. Barkhoudarian is an EXCEPTIONAL EXPERT in his field! After a life altering event in December of 2020 I started rapidly losing vision in the right eye accompanied by headaches with strong fatigue. A visit to an ophthalmologist and an MRI lead to a discovery of a meningioma tumor collapsing my right optic nerve. Across 2 weeks I spoke with the top neurosurgeons around the country including specialists from Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins Hospital, Weill Cornell University and Pacific Neuroscience Institute. After connecting with Dr. Barkhoudarian at Pacific Neuroscience Institute, Santa Monica, CA, I intuitively felt that he was the best to handle my case. Considering the rapid vision loss and my overall symptoms - I was advised that a surgery must take place within a month maximum. Dr. Barkhoudarian's great team of nurses swiftly arranged video calls, answered questions and helped schedule all pre op testing and the procedure as well. The supraorbital craniotomy procedure was supposed to last 5-6 hours. Instead, Dr. Barkhoudarian and two of his fellow neurosurgeons, Dr. Kelly and Dr. Avery, worked diligently for almost 12 hours to remove the meningioma tumor that heavily grew into my brain membrane. It's been 3 months since my surgery; my vision has recovered substantially and my scar, skilfully hidden in my eyebrow, is barely even noticeable. Dr. Barkhoudarian and his team did an AMAZING job! I am eternally grateful for such compassionate, diligent and skillful care!
