List of Gary B. Briskin's Reviews
Since may I had seen him for 4-5 visits. Not once did he remember what I was in for and kept recommending different, very expensive treatments. He finally recommended surgery but without even looking at my MRI results and told me I had to hurry up and book my surgery because it was likely to get filled up. He lacks empathy. Do not recommend at all. I’m issuing a formal complaint.
I took down my negative review after my 1st appt bc the office seemed to want to correct their behavior. But no. The office runs haphazardly, wait times are ridiculous. My foot is now 50% worse than when I saw Dr. Briskin (he seemed great btw, it's his office that's the problem). I've called 3 times to ask them to tell the Dr. my foot is worse, and to find out when the orthotics the Dr ordered, will be ready no one called back, ever. Don't bother asking for the office manager, she's not there, which might explain the problems. Don't use this office for medical care, but do use it to raise your blood pressure if needed.
I had a platelet injection, where they harvest one's own platelets, and then inject them in to the site of the injury or arthritis, in my case between the metatarsal bones, where it was bone on bone from a prior injury. It's a big needle, so I asked if I could have novocain first. "oh, you want novocain?" he asked. Well, yeah it looks like it might be a painful procedure. After injecting the novocain, instead of waiting a few minutes as a dentist would do, this guy began the other injection with the big needle immediately. This procedure took a few minutes. It was more painful than childbirth. But he was lacking in compassion and empathy. He seemed to be uninterested my comfort. Later on, when I called in about a complication, he never called back. The procedure was effective, but another doctor at this practice knew of more up to date methods. I never went back to this guy. I do not recommend him. There are many other doctors at UFAI that are better and have more recent training.
They treat exiting patients like they’ve never been there before. And are going to run out on their bill. You can’t see the doctor until they run your credit card. They use automated data entry system to capture data, however you must complete it every year you go- even though there’s no change. The system does not allow you to simply indicate nothing has changed and there are MANY questions. Dr. Briskin is wonderful. I just wish the front desk was a bit more patient friendly.
I saw Gary Briskin today and wanted to take the time to write this review. I found him extremely knowledgeable explained everything in full he gave me plenty of time and listened to all my concerns..I felt very confident in him .. Also such a warm friendly doctor, so very easy to talk to… I only wish they were more like him!! A truly excellent doctor …

AWEESSSOME
I absolutely adore Dr. Briskin! I have been a patient of his for over 5 years now. He has treated my sesamoid and fibula fractures. He is always kind, reassuring and professional. Dr. Briskin even made repairs to the orthotics I wore for 5 years, after he saw how high my insurance deductible was, to help me keep my old ones for a little while longer. He eventually made me new custom orthotics and they are perfect! I have recommended Dr. Briskin to a few people and they have all been very happy with him. He is the only podiatrist I will see!
I've had a chronic ankle problem for 6 months now. I've seen Dr. Briskin about 5-6 times and each time I visit he has no idea who I am. I've obtained an MRI while back and I showed it to him my first visit. A month later I emailed him letting him know that I've had slow/no progress on my ankle and he emailed me back suggesting to get an MRI. He totally forgot about looking at the MRI and discussing it with me. I set up another appointment and he had no idea who I was again. He sees me for a couple minutes then sends me out. Everyone at the office is friendly and the environment is great, the assistants are great as well. However, the doctor seems "too busy" to care for a patient. I would understand if it was a one or two time visit for a minor issue, but even after emailing him and speaking with the receptionists letting them know that it's a chronic issue, he still has no recollection of who I am nor does he have any notes from my previous visits to see what's going on. If you have a serious issue going on I strongly advise you to go to another doctor. His practice is well renowned so I'm pretty sure he'll continue getting patients but for your well being I strongly advise you go to another doctor. He gave me a cortisone injection and during one of the following appointments I had to remind him I've gotten a cortisone injection. If you can't remember your patients, at least have the due diligence to look at your notes before the visits. And when someone complains it's a chronic issue, they're seeking help from you so as a doctor please due your due diligence and know what's going on. For your well being I highly recommend you to go to another doctor.
Dr. Briskin is the best! Very experienced, super patient and great sense of humor. Wait time was very minimal and office staff was friendly. Was back to running in just a few weeks! Couldn’t be happier.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
