Marisa Chang's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Chang is up on the latest research and treatments for migraines and that is crucial because the science is always changing as medicine still doesn't understand them that well. I have seen famous neurologists in major US cities and she is better. She has been my neurologist for many years.In order to reach a live person for questions about prescription refills or medication side effects, I recommend selecting the option to make an appointment from the phone directory and then relaying your concerns to the receptionists. The one drawback--and this is an important flaw--is the lack of staff to process claims through insurance. That makes it hard for patients who are not wealthy to receive excellent care.

Dr. Chang is one of a kind. She is truly something special. And to add to that her office staff is AMAZING. They are so on top of it and so kind. Kristina knows how to get it done and is very knowledgeable herself if you have any questions. She's also really funny and puts a smile on your face. I came in to see Dr. Chang after 3 weeks of basically being in bed all day because of my migraine. The second I walked into that office I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Chang is so passionate about her patients and you can tell right away. She is set on finding something that works for you, and let me tell you she does. She is so incredibly smart. Other doctors will make you try a million different generic steps before actually finding something that works, which takes a long time. Dr. Chang works with you and what your comfortable with to tailor a personalized game plan that's as perfect as it gets. Her goal is to get you out of pain ASAP and she delivers with very personal attentive care. She gives you many options so that you don't feel stuck, she knows about EVERYTHING. This is why I believe her services are worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. You actually end up getting MORE than you pay for. She's that great. And a plus is, they are always on time. So punctual. On another note, I always love an approachable doctor that you can have conversation with. She does exactly that. She makes the pain a little bit easier by being amazing company. I'm not going to lie, I was almost a little sad when my pain went away so fast because that means I don't get to go into the office as much. To finish, if you are looking for a Neurologist and you are stuck trying to find one, you have made it to the right place... look no further, there is nowhere else you will get better care than with Dr. Chang and her team, I promise, you will agree with me when you experience the beauty I did. I feel safe and I don't feel scared anymore. I'm lucky to have amazing doctors like her.

Purely another rip off doctor going after a cash grab trying anything no matter what the cost is

I was charged $300 for a follow up call (5 minutes) to discuss the procedure that didn't work at all with a $700 charge. Next step they want me to spend $3400 on BOTOX for pain. I am repulsed by this money grab and the nerve they have to charge me $300 to discuss the next procedure that costs $3400. What is wrong with Medicine today?????

Chang didn’t know how to treat migraine and I continue to suffer until I meet a real neurologist six months later. She didn’t even want me against light and noise sensitivity to protect myself. She’s snobbish nasty and extremely unprofessional. I have never run into such a doctor in my life. Stay away from her for your own good.

Chang didn't know I didn't plan to living in LA for long as I was stuck due to injuries after relocating there for a position. she thought I was poor even though I was Ivy League educated investment banker before. Chang threw the MRI order onto my chest as she does not accept insurance and didn't expect me to continue to pay $700 and travel over 60 miles to see her. She does not know how to treat migraine. She treated the same medication I was on for six months without any effect to different times of the day and a little bit higher dosage. I continue to suffer until six months after I saw her a neurologist put me on a real migraine medication finally reduced to some pain. Chang didn’t even inform about the noise and light sensitivity that came with my migraine. Itook me many months to figure out She was extremely snobbish and assumed you are poor even though you paid over $600 cash as she does not accept insurance. In the end, She throw the MRI order across the desk and my chest. I have never come across any doctors so violent in my entire life!

After struggling with crippling migraines for years, Dr. Chang was the first Dr. to give me a creative plan that had completely improved my life. Could not recommend anyone in the medical profession higher than her!
