List of Stephen L. Kuchenbecker's Reviews
I was not planning to write a review on Kuchenbecker MD but, he was so disappointing and such a waste of time. The first appointment, he said my client had something torn in or near the entrance of her anus that was causing her the pain in her vagina. And, he told us to purchase a cream to apply on it and to schedule another appointment, so that he can check out the progress of this cream. After a few weeks of applying this cream, we went back to Kuchenbecker MD so he can tell us if the cream has healed whatever was torn near my client's anus, in the second appointment. Kuchenbecker MD comes in the room, and tells us he does not need to examine my client. I said ,you told us to make an second appointment so that you can examine my client to see if everything is healed near the entrance of the anus. I asked again, for him to examine her and Kuchenbecker MD refused. And then, his conversation took a turn, he asked my client, what is Santa Claus going to get you? My client and I looked at each other and shooked our heads. And, as he started to walk out of the room, when he reached the threshold, without looking at me, he said, good luck Alfred, and left. Shocking behavior. He made me feel so bad. Made me feel like, there was not anything wrong with my client in the first place. My contact lens absorbed the tears I had. So unnecessary. I am Betty's caregiver for nearly 9 years. She is 97 years old. No medication, just vitamins. She told me so many horror stories she witnessed with her friends and how she is so frighten of doctors. How they mistreated her over the years. We went to a pain management doctor. She was told, she has pain in her pelvis floor. Well, let us see.
The most gentle doctor in his explanation and in looking at your butt. Explains everything in a simple way so that you can make your decisions after hearing all the facts. I have seen him three times for a fissure and hemorrhoids. He is the best!
INCOMPETENT! He performed a hemorrhoidectomy to remove an Internal hemorrhoid. He failed to close the surgical wound, resulting in internal bleeding. That persisted for a half-year afterwards (I wouldn't go back to him). His botched surgery also resulted in a "prolapse", meaning the removal of the internal hemorrhoid resulted in part of my rectum falling out to the exterior and resulting in a large external hemorrhoid. He said he had never seen that before. Another ex-patient reviewer said that Mr. Stephen Kuchenbecker also failed to completely close (staple) his surgical wound, resulting in internal bleeding until repaired by another doctor. Like the other reviewer, I need repairs from another surgeon to fix his botched job. I've already filed a complaint with the Calif Medical Board. BTW, he billed me for his botched job.
Saved my life 27 yrs ago. God Bless him!
A smart doctor with a good bedside manner. No one's thrilled about going to a colorectal specialist, but he makes the experience comfortable. Answered all questions and provided the care I needed.
Dr. Kuchenbecker is a brilliant surgeon & kind person. He literally worked miracles on me! To be pain free is such a gift. He is the best! His bedside manner & patience is impressive. I went to seek a third opinion from Dr. Kuchenbecker for years of ongoing pain. It was his down to earth attitude & warm smile that won me over. His resume is through the roof! Go see this Dr. ASAP!
Dr listened to me carefully, counseled me wisely, answered all of my questions and provided phenomenal care. My surgery was performed excellently and my recovery was exactly as I was advised. I trust Dr K, and that's saying a lot.
Honestly the most awful staff I have ever experienced in a Doctor's office.....arrogant, unhelpful, slow and over-all terrible. I am sorry to have to grade a Doctor by his lousy office staff but this was so horrible I felt the need to save others from the bad experience and time waste.
Extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Very good at explaining medical concepts to patients. Takes the time to be sure that the patient understands the options and the pros and cons of each before making a treatment decision. Highly recommend
Did a great job on two hernias with mesh. After initial mild discomfort in the first couple of months, it completely disappeared. A year later at 82 I am enjoying a Yoga routine and feel no discomfort. Thank you very much indeed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
