After learning I had multiple clusters of DCIS breast cancer which required a double mastectomy, I just wanted to get it done as quickly as possible. I met with a breast surgeon whom I really liked. She referred me to a reconstruction doctor with whom I just did not connect but I wanted it done soon so I put down a deposit much to the dismay of a few friends who insisted I meet with at least one other surgeon. This is when I met Dr. Grunwald and all that was confusing became clear! I LOVED her from the jump. Dr. Grunwald gave me options and explained them all with great detail and clarity. She explained that the most natural look is with under the muscle reconstruction... it takes longer... but it's worth it. I had no interest in coconut shells on my 52 year old chest and was so grateful to have found my perfect match who wanted to spend the extra time to give me what I wanted. I canceled my original deposit before I even left Dr. Grunwald's office. I feel I received superior care from Dr. Grunwald and her team and just can't recommend her highly enough!

Dr. Grunwald did reconstruction after double mastectomy...not only did she put in implants that were bigger than I wanted but she put them under my pec muscles so now a big deal to remove. I would never trust her opinion or skills for anything. You have been warned.

Dr. Grunwald and her staff are amazing! I felt at home in the office as everyone treated me so kind and caring. Dr Grunwald takes a lot of time to speak with you and makes sure you are clear on every aspect of your procedure. I’m so happy I found her!

Absolutely outstanding consultation. The entire experience was the most amazing experience, from the first phone call to the pre op. The staff and Dr. Grunwald are so very kind and caring and genuinely interested in you and what you need they really make you feel comfortable and at ease.

She and her office are lovely and charming but I would never again trust Dr. Grunwald to cut into my body. She did reconstruction on me after breast cancer diagnosis and the results are not good and now I am going elsewhere to explant these toxic plastic bags next to my heart and lungs. She put them under my muscles which meant (and I was not informed/did not understand that this meant she CUT MY PEC MUSCLES!) which now has impacted my back and complicates explanting them. Do not expect full informed consent from her. Also, even though I was clear during consults that I wanted small implants she put in larger ones than normal and now surely I will have indentation on my chest wall. It's bad enough that I had to go through cancer and mastectomy but now to have another surgery to fix her work is unconscionable. I wish someone had told me before I went through all this. Buyer- beware.

Dr. Grunwald was incredibly patient and took her time to answer all of my questions. She was thorough, warm and had great overall bedside manner.
