The doctor I saw was a well regarded Obygyn. I had a Pap smear and a couple blood tests. I have Medicare and supplemental Medicare insurance. The bill was $985. Medicare covered $121. I’m left with a bill for $864 for a simple office visit….that I waited six months for. I have asked the bill to be reviewed with no luck so far. I’m not sure if this is simple robbery or just indicative of how broken our healthcare system is. To follow up, after four phone calls and apparently three reviews, my balance was reduced to $0. So I will up my star rating to three stars as this horrendous charge shouldn’t have happened to begin with. But I am thankful it was resolved.

The Colorado and 20th UCLA Health center has been my primary care provider for 20+ years. The medical professionals there are consistently thorough and thoughtful. Typical wait time after arrival is 1 to 3 minutes in the lobby area.
