List of Ucla Health Santa Monica Internal Medicine's Reviews
I've been coming here for over 5 years and I've always given them the benefit of the doubt but today was the last straw. I was put off of work for an injury and it's been email after email back and forth trying to get someone to respond to fill out my disability form. After a week I was told they could possibly tell me no to filling it out after incorrectly telling me I would need another appointment. This is always an issue, administration not completing a task and telling me it requires an appointment. Getting this office to do ANYTHING takes weeks. No urgency and I'm always given incorrect information on what needs to happen. Staff always act as if they are doing me a favor by taking me or "squeezing" me in when health issues arise and I need a appointment. Mind you squeezing me in means taking me in two weeks later. My current Dr. Is Dr. Yen who is very quick and often dismissive, is always booked out months in advance so when things come up I'm always told by staff that and often times I just let health issues go until I'm actually able to see him, which is ridiculous considering ucla's reputation and costs. If you are able to, I suggest utilizing ucla facilities in other area because my issues always stem from this office.
Update: After filling out the feedback form that was sent me in response to the original post, I received a call from UCLA IT instructing me how to use the Qless app. That is not the problem. I thought my comments were pretty clear that the issue is that the app was not functioning as it should. I wonder how many more months I'm going to have to wait to make an appointmemt with, and actually see, my endocrinologist. As a cancer survivor, I find this pretty appalling. ###First, let me be clear that I appreciate the doctors, nurses, NPs and PAs that work at the UCLA system. I have no positive words about the system portion of UCLA health however. They decided to implement a new system to help with lines in the phlebotomy lab, and it's a total disaster. It's called Qless but it's more like clueless. I'm a very busy executive who works 7 days a week, and I had exactly 1 hour to get blood drawn. I used the Qless system and was told that I would have an appointment in 10 minutes. I waited around and 10 minutes came and went and then 20 and 30 and then 40 and I was still told I was number one in line. When my hour was up that's all I could spare and I had to go back to the office. Then I wanted to go through normal feedback channels and explain how this was an unacceptable situation, so I called the customer feedback number. Got no response. So at this point I am completely furious and unsatisfied. I had to cancel an appointment with my endocrinologist that took months to set up and now I have no idea when I can set up another appointment or how to possibly get my blood drawn. This is completely unprofessional.
Let the success story of others attract you to your success. I have always had interest in Bitcoin trading so I can invest for myself and my family, but I was scared of lost until I got convinced by seeing a lot of people giving testimonies about Mrs Katie George I an expert Bitcoin trader. and then i decided to finally give it a trial, so far so good, I have made $15,000 in just a couple of weeks I started trading. Dr.Wilkinson is a fantastic doctor. She is kind, listens to her patients, is fast to respond and spends time with her patients. As someone with very rare, incurable disorders I have seen many doctors and she is by far one of my favorites. Which is why she is my primary care doctor and all the other doctors I saw are not.
Dr. Maija Sanna is a gem.! A fabulous doctor. A wonderful person. Caring and considerate. Beyond all expectations. My geriatric mom (and I) waited months to get an appointment with her and it was worth it! Now it's been 18 months since my 96 1/2 year old mother passed away, and I am still thinking about how lucky we were to have Dr. Sanna as her doctor. I want to share this information so Dr. Sanna knows how grateful we were (and still are) for her care. And Dr. Sanna's staff have also been excellent too. THANK YOU DR. SANNA!
Parking is $20 for a hour? Wtf? This is ridiculous! Feel like I'm getting rob from the mafia.
The doctors are friendly and knowledgeable.

Been coming here since I moved to the West LA area. Dr. Lam is pretty awesome, he listens and he explains things in great detail. He always responded back whenever I messaged him through the health portal (it's a nice bonus). I haven't see any of the other doctors that work here, but from what I can tell they all seem to be very experienced and smart.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
