Our ophthalmologist retired! We looked long and hard to find a replacement. We had to wait 5 months to get an appointment but did we ever "luck out"! Our first meeting with Dr Dan Rich ended up being the best possible experience. Both my wife and I quickly realized that we had an extraordinary ophthalmologist! Dr Rich is first off a "class act"! He listens attentively; he responds to any and all questions; he speaks in common terms; and you get the sense, strong and clear, that he's genuinely interested in you and the "state of your vision"! Dr Rich is an extraordinary physician ... and a delightful human being! We lucked out because we found the best ... no doubt in our minds!

Dr. Rich needs to practice his social skills. He's vaguely interested in patient care. Not interested at all in hearing questions that might question his ability-which are simple questions to get answers to why I'm not seeing well after my second cataract surgery. IMHO he might want to think about how he deals with patients. First cataract surgery was successful-second one not. He didn't want to discuss the possibility that something might have gone wrong. He should have suggested a second opinion. I would look elsewhere for care. Emergencies are not their forte...

rushed ancillary staff, and doctor seemed at times impatient. docor unwilling to listen to my concerns and history until i threatened to leave the office. did not answer question about why i have double vision in one eye. seemed more concerned with putting a bow on it than the substance of the package. i doubt we will meet again.

Great doc! Fixed my eye problems with LASIK. Staff great too! Actual surgery is so quick and easy. Originally I had intraocular lens replacement while doing cataract surgery with Dr. Lillian Yang, she did a great job, But I decided to change one of the eyes with LASIK so I could see distance and close up, and now I don't have to wear glasses or contacts for distance or readers to read.

I had my second eye cataract surgery with Dr. Rich. He is compassionate, cheery, thorough, and did a fantastic job. I can see afar without any glasses. What a beautiful world!
