List of Henry E. Degroot's Reviews
Ver patient professional and kind. Cured my daughter’s acne that seemed incurable.
He is very pleasant, professional & easy to interact with and gives you the time necessary to understand what is at issue. Would recommend to anyone looking for answers to their dermatology questions.
Appointments are booked out about 2 months, then a very long wait time at time of appointment.
This doctor told me I had eczema, when in fact I have a pre-cancerous skin condition. He gave me less than 3 minutes of his time, and never bothered with a biopsy. Furthermore, he put me through light therapy without knowing what my skin lesions really were. He also never discussed the risk of skin cancer with this treatment. I won't go back to him.
After living with sorortic arthritis for 30 years and several Dr's having no clue what was wrong with me Dr Degroot took one look at me and diagnosed me. He is helping me get my condition under control and u am very grateful. He is smart and listens to me. I am very happy with the back office staff also, they call and keep me included in the conservation.
Dr. DeGroot quickly establishes a warm and trusting relationship. He has a no-nonsense approach to diagnostics, performs biopsy with great skill and painlessly, and informs about what is to come next. Highly recommended for for those with conditions which have baffled other physicians.
Over charged me at the time of my visit. I explained to them that I did not have a co-payment due but they insisted I would not be seen if I did not pay up front. Sure enough when I received my blue shield statement I did not owe the co pay. They reassured me at the time of my visit that no problem they would refund me any over payment. Well guess what, when I called them about my overpayment I got nothing but the run around. So frustrating.
The office staff is very incompetent. I was assured that they check with my health insurance and found out I have zero co-pay to see Dr. Degroot and my eczema photo therapy treatments. Then after a few treatments the office staff admittedly stated that they made a mistake and that I owe money. I reiterated that I cannot afford anything right now because I am unemployed and living off of social security only. I was sent to collections so I filed a consumer complaint with the State Medical Board.
Kind person, great dermatologist w/ fine surgical skills; has done an excellent job of repairing the requisite damage from skin cancers that had to be removed.
I stopped into Henry's office without an appointment, was quickly accepted by his superior staff and seen almost immediately by the doctor. He soon recommended me for Photo Dynamic Therapy which was applied two weeks later with impressive results. My subsequent healing and care have made me so happy to be his patient. He is exceptional in that he makes me feel as if I were his only patient, None of this "spin you around and you are out the door with a big bill" that other dermatologists have given me. My Blue Cross/Shield insurance and Medicare have paid for every thing!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
