Really upsetting experience here, even the front desk staff seemed uncomfortable with Stavn and apologized on his behalf; something I'm sure they need to do all the time in their clinic. I am a Medical patient and he seemed bothered by that, and not willing to give me the patient care I am entitled to as a human. He was rude and started off the appt questioning me, if "I really needed to be seen" to have an updated lens prescriptions. I left my appt not wanting to return to pick up my eyeglasses and I wouldn't have unless the ladies at the front desk weren't as nice as they were. He is a rude, inconsiderate person and I have not idea why he choose this profession. Glad he didn't get any money out of me. Would give him a negative review if I could.

30 years ago my son Ben was treated by Dr Stavn for perceptual skills deficit that made learning to read very difficult. Over a few weeks treatment he improved and reading took off very quickly. Ben went on to college at UC, got a Phd in molecular cellular developmental Biology. He enjoys a fine career in his chosen field. Thank you, Dr Stavn! Parents, don’t give up on struggling students, there is help!

I am a patient of Fountaingrove Dentistry and one you the employees there recommended Dr Stavn, these offices are next to each other. To make things convenient for me I decided to make my appointments back to back and I am so glad I did!! Dr Stavn is a great doctor! He is patient, nice and informative. Most importantly he has been able to figure out my more than complicated eyes!! I have Kaiser insurance but I prefer to pay Dr Stavn out of pocket because he is worth it!!

Great staff, all very knowledgeable and create a relaxed atmosphere. Nice products with a good range in prices. Hollis Stavn did a great job on my eye exam, I am sure everyone has different eyes and issues and he went through a lot of effort to pinpoint where I needed more visual support.I ended up getting 2 pairs for two very different activities and effort/duration levels.Highly recommend this location if you are also a tech worker, read a lot and are also pretty active.

Dr. Stavn has been my optometrist for several years. His exams are thorough and he treats me as a whole person, not just someone that needs glasses. I recently had a tragic fall and lost vision in one eye. I was treated in the Emergency Room, followed up with an Ophthalmologist and then put on a list for a 3 month follow up. I then went to see Dr. Stavn for new glasses. I shared with him my tragic accident and I asked him to look at the reports and possibly refer me to another Ophthalmologist for a second opinion. Dr. Stavn felt there had to be more to the story. I signed a release so he could talk to the Ophthalmologist that diagnosed me. Within 24 hours of Dr. Stavn speaking with my Opthalmolohist I had been called in to have more diagnostic testing to get to the root of the cause of my injury. I am grateful to have Dr. Stavn on my team! He is thorough, he cares and he has a great office staff.

I have been referred to Dr. Stavn twice by my regular doctor for severe eye infections. He saw me immediately and treated my infections expertly and very professionally... He even called several days later to see how I was doing. His staff is very nice... And with COVID-19 on everybody's mind... He has instituted many measures to keep not only his staff safe but his patients safe as well..I would highly highly recommend Dr. Stavn to anyone who needs to see an eye doctor. Great experience!

I went for my eye exam some months back, and all I wanted was my prescription to order elsewhere. I did not appreciate the pushiness of the doctor to buy from him. He even had the front staff woman try to convince me. I found his approach and tone rude. Not only did I get a better price elsewhere, but I also did encounter any of the issues he claimed I would encounter if, I did not buy from him. I think that the whole office lacks customer service skills and professionalism.
