Dr. McDermott began our first meeting with, "I will ask you questions and you will only answer."" He did not want to hear what I was feeling, thinking or what I had come in for. He was very condescending I was in because I had an unsuccessful surgery with another physician and it truly felt as if I (in my humble opinion) that he was covering for the initial doctor. Dr. McDermott did not help me. I was able to successfully go to another doctor whom have the courtesy and humility to listen to me and figure out what was wrong with me. Beware!

Dr. McDermott has performed several surgeries for me. The wait time in his office is long 1-1.5 hours. He is a VERY focused Dr. You can't really ask him a lot of questions because he is so busy. But he does amazing work. If you want a no nonsense Dr. he is your guy! He has a good sense of humor but he is more about business & taking care of as many patients as he can.

After 5 plus years of knee pain and physical limitations, I was referred to Dr. McDermott. My life has not been the same since. With careful diagnostics, physical therapy,and eventual full knee replacement I now can move pain free. Dr. McDermott listened to my complaints and concerns, methodically questioned what I said and determined a successful test and treatment plan that now has me pain free, thus increasing my quality of life dramatically. I highly recommend Dr. McDermott.

Thisman is always in a hurry. He does not care about others well being. He has ruined my boyfriend's life,and almost our relationship due to the stress this man has caused. He doesnt like to take on workers comp because its too much "polotics". Now left with a frozen shoulder we have to find a new doctor!

I saw Dr. McDermott today. He gave me an injection in my shoulder for a torn rotator. Have heard these are painful. Omg he was wonderful. Only felt a little pressure. This guy is awesome. He listens to me when I speak. I had my 4 year old granddaughter with me and was concerned I would cry and upset her. No problem. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone.

My shoulder surgery was incomplete. The doctor waited too long in my recuperation to notice I was going downhill fast. When I was in pain after surgery in follow up appt he did not ask specific questions on how much pain and how long the duration of pain I was in. His bedside manner is lousy, yelled at me about how, It's just pain! By that time I had had Frozen Shoulder for 5 weeks and he rushed me out of the patient room. I found another doctor who had to clean up the results.

Have been a patient since 2014. Had shoulder replacement in 2015. All went well. Really like this doctor and his MA. Only complaint I have is the long wait time to see him. On Wed the 27th schedule visit 11am. Not seen until after 12 noon. I realize circumstances sometimes makes this possible but patients should be kept informed. Not much help. Have MRI scheduled. Hope wait time is much less.
