Ty P. Affleck's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Affleck is the kindest person and truly a gift to medicine. He is incredibly knowledgeable and sharp, often to a point that astounds me with how much information he knows. He ALWAYS takes the time to explain scientifically/biologically/mechanically what is happening so you have an in depth understanding- I've never once felt on a timer here like with other doctor offices. They really prioritize the patient having as much knowledge as possible about what's happening with their body, which I really like. I've referred all my friends and family to him because I feel lucky to get this level of care

He's nice. But...verbatim told me, "You'll be 100% healed at menopause." I'm 19. I've had this pain in my sacrum from physical trauma when I was 17. He popped my lower back and got blood work done. He seemed to not know what the hell was wrong with my injury. I have arrived and left the office in tears as he kept changing the diagnosis and not to mention him having the undertone of "I'm sorry I cannot help you but thanks for the copay". Very frustrating and upset.

Dr. Affleck is a knowledgeable and caring person. He takes the time to both listen and then treat patients. I felt comfortable talking with him about my health issue and so appreciated his approach to working with me. He responds to patient phone calls and concerns. Chris, who is the first person you see when walking in to his office, is friendly and ready to help patients feel comfortable. She makes things work out for the patient. During this time of Covid I so appreciate Dr. Affleck's approach to creating a safe environment where patients can feel safe.

I have a valid health exemption from receiving the covid vaccine and yet this physician will not allow me in. It's ridiculous, everybody knows that vaccinated people spread the virus just as well as unvaccinated people. This is discrimination. I do not recommend this place. The best key to prevention is hand washing, wearing a mask if you have symptoms, filling out forms advising if you have been in contact with people who have been sick. Discriminating against people who cannot receive the vaccine for health reasons is illegal, unethical and and demonstrates a profound lack of medical knowledge as to the fact that vaccinated people can spread the disease just as readily.

Profound lack of medical knowledge going on at this place. I do not recommend receiving treatment here.

Poor level of medical knowledge

***If you've ever read any of my reviews. You know I have a three-year-old. I have a little redheaded terror inflicting 3 YO. ***That little angel, that does no wrong because she's perfect, And yes I'm being facetious...She decided to take a running start and jump on her dad's chest while he was laying down. Her dad, who I have referred to as my baby daddy here on yelp, was laying on the floor after a long day at work out there flipping meat on the BBQ at Fircrest. He's really old, so he's a whiner. He creaks and cracks with every movement. So needless to say when our very large three-year-old did the cannon ball on his chest he was hurt. And many woman out there, Y'all know what I'm talking about. Men are winners when they are sick or hurt. ***That being said I just spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone no exaggeration trying to find a primary care doctor.  He went to the ER a couple weeks ago but he is still walking around holding his abdomen like a wuss. Big surprise. No joke I spent 2 1/2 hours on this phone trying to find a primary care doctor. And yes we have insurance - we have excellent insurance. I had conversations with some of the rudest effing people I've ever talked to in my life. And I know I can be abrasive but i usually try and keep it light. Everybody hates their job these days I guess. Rude after another rude. All right I'm trying not to swear so I hope you get my point. ***I was just about to give up. When suddenly this ANGEL answered the phone. I shit you not she was a freaking angel. Not only did I not have to repeat myself 20 times. I gave her the same two minute run down I gave every other person of the details. Not only did I not have to repeat myself, which I despise doing, she did not ask me to re-spell our last name seven times. I couldn't believe how smart she was I offered her a job. She of course just laughed at me. And I was I ok with that. ***She booked my baby daddy an appointment for a week and a half out and she put us on the cancellation list. I was willing to let my baby daddy suffer for the next week and a half to get a decent doctor. Within 10 minutes of hanging up with this young lady - I was literally in the middle of writing this review. She calls me back to tell me that there's an opening for tomorrow at 10. COULD IT GET ANY BETTER!!***Megan. If every business had one of you. The world would be a better place. I hope your doctor appreciates you. If it wasn't for you I would probably have no hair because I would be pulling it all out by now. Thank you. You are definitely an angel in disguise*******As always thank you for reading and have a peachy day*******

I first saw Dr Affleck several years ago when I had a frozen shoulder. Who knew that was even a condition. He gave me a choice to exercise on my own or go to physical therapy. I choose exercise. He gave me a very detailed list of stretches, saw him for followups, and I successfully got over my condition with no negative impact to my body. And, in record time. Years later I'm seeing him for a sports related injury, and once again he gave me a detailed list of exercises which is clearing the issue. In my view, he's the best if you want to get rid of your condition safely and swiftly!

I'd say this is the best family practice & certainly best sports medicine doctor on the planet. Dr. Affleck is as empathetic as he is knowledgeable and effective. The office staff is the same. I had to leave his practice in order to get specialized local pain management, but I have more respect and admiration for this doctor and group than any other that I've encountered in my nearly 70 yrs of life on 2 continents. I still send friends there and hope to return to them when I can. If your children play sports, do not walk, run there to get the best and most up to date treatment you will ever find.
