When you have a serious problem and call for an appointment, they call you back the next day and push you out further. When you call and leave a message with your "provider" they don't call you back, even if it is urgent. I do not recommend. If I had other options I would go somewhere else.

Best dental clinic in humboldt county!

This has probably been one of the worst places I’ve had dental work at. They schedule appointments 6 months apart, I’ve had staff treat me like I’m dumb/speak to me with aggressions, and had to come back to an appointment months after for a cavity filling they messed up on. On top of COVID, the staff don’t really wear masks correctly, despite “enforcing” it on patients.

I was initially thankful that they got me in, since they're one of the few dental clinics around here that takes my insurance and they saw me last January when COVID was peaking (some healthcare is better than no healthcare I guess). But overall I had a really bad experience here and I wouldn't recommend it.The hygienist kept jamming the plastic part of the xray tool into my gums, which hurt and ended up cutting me in a couple places and leaving big sores that lasted for around a week. I told her it was hurting me but she didn't give me another option or change the size of the bitewing (I've never had this issue at any other dentist office). Her mask also wasn't covering her nose and based on our conversation I got the feeling that she wasn't vaccinated.The dentist came in to see me (didn't catch her name unfortunately) and was really dismissive of my problem. I didn't feel like she listened to me and I wouldn't feel comfortable having any work done on my teeth here.The other issue they have is that they never answer the phone. I get that everywhere is understaffed but I was never able to get a copy of my xrays so I had to pay out of pocket for a new set 6 months later (I don't live nearby anymore). The billing department sure answers their phone though, and called me/set me bills for months even though my insurance had already covered it.I wouldn't recommend this place unless you can't find anywhere else to go.

0 Stars. Waited 6 months for a dental appointment only to have them cancel on me the week of. I have to wait another 6 MONTHS for their next available appointment.

Their office in Mad River really sucks! I have been there 3 times in 5 months and it's always a different dentist with different ideas. The last quack wanted me to OK a root canal before he even examined the tooth!! The other 2 dentist never mentioned that and was simply going to fill the cavity. This guy wants to pad his bill so watch out.

Maybe they are shutting down? They called to cancel an appointment and I've been calling back for weeks with no answer. Not sure what's happening...

My family has had three generations utilizing the fabulous services of Southern Trinity. For the most part they are all amazing humans that truly care. For me and mine that is priceless.

Worst annual teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. Waited 50 minutes to be seen for 15 mins. The dentist was very rude about the appearance of my teeth and immediately started polishing without properly scaling or flossing each tooth. I question if he really examined for cavities. I left very confused and upset, a good dentist should thoroughly walk through their process and tell the patient what is going on. No physician should belittle their patients. The lack of accessible and affordable health care in Northern California is deplorable.

The receptionist and the assisting staff are absolutely wonderful. I understand everyone is short staffed right now which is why when I was called a week prior to my appointment and asked to change times from in the evening to early morning instead, I agreed. Did everything I could to make the trip easier with my two year old in tow. I ended up leaving there with no services done, it was not the service prior discussed. It’s really hard when one dentist plans one thing, you schedule an appointment months and months out, only to drive an hour and find out the dentist that’s there doesn’t want to go with the plan the original dentist wanted. Now there’s more paperwork involved, needing to reschedule another appointment( hopefully not months out) , and yet another hour drive there and back. Totally wasted a half tank of gas and two hours of my time today for absolutely nothing, not even an apology or understanding from the dentist.Maybe there should be a week prior phone call check in with the patient and staff to get everything clear with what’s being expected and what will be done. I’d have appreciated it in my case. Finding a babysitter twice was hard.
