Ian Brodie's Online Review Report Card

I am an accomplished athlete, Marathon Runner, Cyclist, Body Builder, and Holistic Practitioner with many reservations about surgery.After speaking previously to other prominent orthopedic surgeons in the Inland Empire I was very reluctant to go forward with surgery, and decided to seek the possibilities of Physical Therapy as my preferred method of treatment for a rotor cuff injury, but the pain was sharp and intense.  After a comprehensive examination of my right shoulder by Dr. Brodie, Hegave me the opportunity to address my personnel concerns regarding the surgical procedure, recovery, limitations, short term, and long term results. During my initial consultation I was accompanied by my 7 year old Son.Dr. Brodie allowed my son in His office, and was very nice to him. Demonstrating hospitality and a "Great Sense Humor". I was very impressed with His Civility, and Professionalism.Dr. Brodie performed a Surgical Open Decompression of my right shoulderThe incision was three inches long which healed  unnoticeable. The surgical procedure was "Outstanding", The recovery period was followed by post operative consultations, which I followed his recommendations that enabled me to systematically and methodically get back to full recovery, as He saidI would. Dr. Ian Brodie's  surgical veracity is Outstanding.

I'd give a zero if I could. This man should not be in practice he's too old, he can't see or hear. While taking notes he talked into a recording device and everything he said was inaccurate. I was there for a worker's compensation injury so accuracy is very important. He couldn't understand what I did for work or why the injury happened on a Sunday. He never examined my broken ankle or looked at the xrays. The HIPAA violations I witnessed in this office were unbelievable. I would never let this man actually perform surgery on me. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Needless to say I found a new surgeon

I give the medical office of Ian D. Brodie, MD located at 911 Electric Ave, Seal Beach, CA 90740 ZERO STARS. but I must add ONE. I will say that all the staff and medical assistants were kind and really taking care of all the patients that walked in. BUT Doctor Brodie, sure had me questioning his medical abilities after hearing and seeing him while I was patiently sitting in the office. I'm not a patient here, nor a doctor, but I agree with the reviews, "YOU NEED TO RETIRE" 86 and still cutting and stitching patients. I do hope that the surgical procedure that was done on my relative, leaves that area fully functional. The way the cut and stitching was left, left me concerned that a botched scar would be left once it's completely healed. During my time at this office, I was reminded of Faye Dunaway, who played Dr. Campbell on Grey's Anatomy, 16th episode for season 5. Titled, An Honest Mistake"Owen wants her to page Campbell, but Cristina rather not have a dinosaur who refuses to retire."I hope I don't need to contact Dr. Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow who both are renowned plastic surgeons on the show BOTCHED. 0️⃣ 🌟'S Ian D. Dr is very rude, insensitive, stubborn..forget lots of things important to the patientHe needs to retire

This doctor is horrible and his staff.

0 Stars for this so called doctor Ian D. Brodie. He Kept cutting me off mid conversation. Wouldn't let me finish when I was trying to explain how I was feeling. He said that I need to live with the pain. You are a terrible human with no concern or empathy for your patiences. Don't go to this doctor for anything.

Rude & unethical. Shows no compassion for his patients.

I see Dr.Brodie for pain in my back (ski injury) and heel pain since 11 years. He is very good with cortisone injections.

I rarely post reviews and never about a doctor but this man is incompetent. He is 80 years old and felt like I had to defend my injury when clearly I have photos, hospital records to show I was injured. He was rude and pretty much an idiot. I have preexisting injuries which have been affected and have affected my current injury which he told me he didn't care about. I would in no way ever refer anyone to this man and my WC adjuster agreed and is sending me to another doctor.
