I have been chronically ill most of my life and was referred to Dr Ayala because doctors don't know what to do with me. When I first met Dr Ayala, it was at the height of the pandemic, and my dad very recently passed (I think it was within a week of my father's passing). It was a stressful time, and my history with doctors is more bad than good. One year later, Dr Ayala is a huge advocate for me and helping me manage my illnesses to enjoy my best life possible. I am grateful for him and his level of care. I highly recommend him. Disclaimer, please be patient with him and his staff. He's only in the office interacting with patients one day a week, and he can be a bit of a moving target, but it has never affected my level of care. He is a consumate professional, a brilliant mind, and a heart for people, a very rare type of doctor these days.

Never & I mean never question doctor Ayala. He will punish you in ways that are on the verge of sue worthy. After self discharging from pain management on Dr. Ayala’s request he then proceeded to “mess around” with my regular pain regiment. After having my insurance contact him on his personal cell phone number, which he provided to me as a means of communication due to the lack of office staff answering phone calls or voicemails, he refused to answer why. I was then advised by my insurance to contact the department of managed health care to file a grievance. After filling the grievance Dr. Ayala discharched me for once again a sue worthy situation.NEVER QUESTION DR. AYALA. His office staff, managers & directors are unhelpful, mean & rude at times. I will never return & look forward to hearing what the appeals & grievances departments of my insurance & the DMHC have to say.Other physicians within the same medical group & even office as Dr. Ayala are fantastic. For instance Dr. Mederious & Lasher are two awesome doctors. I would suggest them to anyone.
