I was forgotten about in the waiting room. there is a sign posted inside that they are short staffed so please be patient with them. which is what I was doing. I sat patiently for 45 minutes and finally a woman came out and asked for my name after I had been signed in and in a separate waiting room all this time. She rushed me in a room and the Dr stated she was so sorry. I left with a feeling of being a rushed appointment because it was close to lunch hour.

My visit with Dr Hawkins went very well. She explained the results of testing done before seeing her and did relay that my visiting in February with Dr Mendoza migth be a good time to discuss new glasses and any changes that might have occurred.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Eye-Q. I would give my experience zero stars if that was an option. I made an appointment to purchase a pair of perception glasses on Monday 2/6/2023 at 10am. I checked in as normal and wait to be called. Once called and seated I was told by the lady assisting that there was a balance on my account from 2015. This caught me by surprise be this was the first time I've been here since I was a kid. For reference I am 22 years old so in 2015 I would have been 14. I politely told the lady that these are not my debts and are those of my parents which I am not liable for. She told me that they can not help me till I or my parents pay off the debt. This unprofessional experience left me extremely dissatisfied and a bit angered because I was asked to pay off a debt of my parents from when I was a minor and because of that I was refused service. This practice is illegal and is supported by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) which prohibits debt collection attempts that are not authorized by law.
