I had both my eyes ICL surgery with Dr Berg and the results are beyond excellent!Dr Berg was very kind and professional and assured me along the way with my surgery. Addressed my concerns and aimed for the best results possible. After Dr Berg did my other eye ICL surgery, both my eyes gained 20 20 or better vision. I never could see this sharp with glasses or contact lens ever!I have to apologize to Dr Berg, I was wrong about my night vision causes. Now with both eyes corrected, my night vision is great with very little halos, not as much at all.I wanted to thank Dr Berg and his team for doing this above and beyond excellenct professional job. It absolutely improved my life quality a lot more for the rest of my life. I can't thank him enough, just wish him all the best!
Came here to see if dr. Berg is still performing lasik. He did my procedure in 2008 (I only remember this because the next day was Election Day and I went to vote and I was able to leave my house for the first time since 1992 without contacts or glasses! It was life changing!) I had horrible vision prior and couldn't get out of bed without first putting on my glasses. The procedure was pretty quick. I went home, took a nap, woke up and I could see! It was amazing! No issues or complications since then. I probably went to the optometrist a few times since 2008 just to get an exam and then use my insurance for new sunglasses since I no longer needed regular glassesNow, 14 years later, I'm over 40 and I've noticed that my nighttime vision isn't as clear so I went to a new optometrist for an exam (last visit to an optometrist was probably 10 years ago!) I was fully expecting to walk out of there needing glasses, but nope! Still nearly perfect vision! One eye is slightly off (.25) but no need for glasses! In fact, he said that my eyes looked great and that whoever did my lasik did an amazing job. "Well worth it" according my optometrist. Needless to say, I have absolutely no regrets and would recommend dr berg to anyone thinking about lasik. And if anyone wants to see my procedure, I'm sure I have it on VHS somewhere . Yes, it was that long ago that they gave me a VHS. Dang! when did I get so old?? At least I still have my vision!
Amazing dr berg is the best life changing there's no other way to put it how good the lasik procedure was
Update : I got my vision correction last year , it was my Christmas present. A year later I can now confirm I still have 20/20 vision. I see all the little letters in the commercials, the halo around the lights were gone after a month. My eyes do still feel dry sometimes but HONESTLY the "sometimes" is rare and drops lubricate my eyes, and I'm alright.... It beats all the discomfort of having glasses I would do it AGAIN in a heartbeat.. highly, highly recommend my doc. I will be sending my whole family next
Thank you Dr. Winston for sending me to the best opthamologist and staff. I am very very impressed and can see now.Dr. Berg, you are the very best. I feel so lucky and am so thankful for your amazing care.Sincerely,Darleen Williams
They did not numb me before starting the procedure. I felt EVERYTHING. The office was like an assembly line of people (the front desk told me he sees 40-50 patients a day) so it’s no wonder someone forgot to do their job along the way. When the assistants put the eye retractors in, I tried to pull away and say it hurt, but they told me to be still and not talk. Being young and naive at the time, I wasn’t sure if that was normal or not. Also, when someone is doing surgery in your eyes and tells you not to move, of course you don’t move because you don’t want to end up blind. When they cut into my eyes with the laser, I felt like someone punched me. My head throbbed, and I felt like I was going to pass out. I could feel a sharp pinching in my eyes when the laser was shaping my cornea. My whole body was tensed so hard because they kept telling me not to move. When they were done, I was shaking and crying and too traumatized to speak. The doctor just looked at me, laughed and said, “Oh it’s normal for girls to be emotional.” They rushed me out of the office since they had so many other patients waiting. When I left the office, the pain was so severe, my ride had to carry me to the car. I took the sedatives that I was prescribed and they took effect about 20 minutes later, however I woke up several times due to the pain. When I fully woke up 8 hours later, fortunately most of the pain had subsided, and my vision turned out ok in the end, but the experience was so traumatic that I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. I’ve had so many friends have wonderful experiences elsewhere, in a relaxed, personalized environment where they were numbed with eye drops several times before they even got to the surgery table. Due to the physical trauma, it took me several years to write this review, but since this doctor is still in practice, I really feel others should know what they could be getting into. Please do your research and speak with people you trust about their experiences.
Today I woke up for the first time in so many years, and I didn't need to reach out for my glasses. I could see everything around me so clear, And it's only day one post op. I instantly cried of joy. Dr Berg changed my life, I'll be forever grateful for his knowledge, patience and skill. I can say with confidence that going To see him for Lasik is the best thing you can do. Thank you Dr Berg and staff.
Before surgeryI went thru my insurance to try and find a Dr because one I was READY to get rid of my glasses once and for ALL. And two my eyeballs are very important to me. So I was referred over to the sherman oaks office where they ran multiple test to see if I was a candidate and like most of the whole world I read some of the reviews and bugged out. After doing some research I realized the chick writing all the bad reviews... Reviews everyone else 1 star too and she opened multiple yelp's to discredit this dr. I asked a ton of questions which were answered directly and no dancing around. So I decided to go for it n trust them with my eyeballs. Surgery timeI was a nervous wreck due to the movie final destination YEAH nothing like that . .. and they gave me medication to calm my nerves. The ACTUAL procedure didn't really hurt but on a scale 1_10 we'll call it a 4 due to pressure n discomfort you feel.... It was approx 20 min from the time I was sat on the chair till I left. Right after surgeryDefinitely the worst part medication wears off n my eye balls felt on fire. The absolutely amazing part is you get medication to help you sleep for hrs Wk later My vision has improved tremendously. I was extremely blind. I can now read the little letters . I don't need to panic about loosing my glasses. Or get frustrated about needing my glasses to find my glasses. My eyes balls are still a little dry and I can't focus on something for too long it make my vision feel strained I also see a lil circle around lights but it's only been a WK approximately since my surgery so I'll update later. So far so good ! Amazing staff drs. And nurses.thank you for caring for my eye balls.
Very disappointed after Dr Berg performed cataract surgery on me. He did take care of my cataract but his promise to put in the lens for near / reading didn't happen. Lots of promises but no results. My vision is still blurry after a month passed since surgery. A friendly doctor who just says anything you want to hear but doesn't deliver.
I, S. Simonian, met doctor Berg a month ago. He’s going to replace my existing IOL which has been implanted by another doctor. I’m 100% confident that he can do this complicated procedure to exchange my existing multi focal lens with VIVITY. Once you believe somebody from bottom of your heart everything goes well. Dr. Berg cares about his patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
