My mom has breast cancer and after our experience with our first oncologist, we knew we had to go somewhere else. Luckily, my dad was able to find City of Hope and we are amazed with everything about this place. I have to give a special thank you to Dr. Yeon (though I have not met her myself) for being so welcoming to my mom. She has felt blessed being able to meet such a wonderful doctor and is no longer afraid. I'd also like to thank all of the receptionists and other nurses and doctors that made my mom feel welcomed as well! Definitely would recommend this hospital to anyone that needs treatment.

Dr Lee performed a hysterectomy on my wife and she was very happy with The procedure. She has been recovering and is doing well.

I have to say that everyone from the radiation department to the infusion chemo nurses are outstanding. They are so caring and thoughtful. Matthew, Pamela and Heidi in Chemo are so diligent and sensitive to a patient's needs..they go the extra mile.  And Lettie, makes blood drawing so painless. She is wonderful. Renee, Ethan, Tran, and Kelly made the radiation sessions so much easier to go through. Always so pleasant.  Anna who  works with Dr. Helen Chen is so caring and involved. And Dr. Chen made me feel comfortable with  the whole process and explained everything to me. All in all, the staff and facility here are top notch.

Hi everybody My mom is cancer patient My qustion is .doeas city of hope in (Pasadena) branch accepting  pationt to be  hospitalized there.not Duarte city.(Pasadena )thanks in advance.

Honestly I hate to leave a poor review but really the place is a dump. The infusion center has ants all around the sink, where cancer patients get water & tea from. The nurse argued w/ me about what vein to use, pretty sure I know my own body. I asked if there were any rules before my first visit they said no, on the second treatment, "are you wearing essential oils?" me "I asked if it was ok." Nurse "Well it's not ok and other people are complaining." Ok so there are secret rules, got it. Nurses are not in uniform & too busy gossiping to pay attention to my allergic reaction, sent me home untreated anyways. I have had this treatment many times before and only had to go out of pocket less than $100 per treatment. Now the bill is $900.00 for each treatment even after insurance. Called them to see what the deal is and if they billed it incorrectly, she said and I quote, "No this is a specialized facility so we charge extra" I said well no one told me that before hand, then she said "oh well we only divulge this information if we are asked." Go somewhere else. Terrible and super uncomfortable.

Knowledge and Consideration are the main factors when circumstances are difficult Dr Poornima Rao is excellent and a true gift of God!! Heaven sent!! Expertise and the consideration and compassion made our experience not feel so consuming! Best ever as far as sharing the facts and resolution!!! I am extremely grateful to these wonderful humanitarian's that care beyond words!!

INFUSION DEPARTMENT Outstanding patient service here from each and every associate. The following are exceptional in every way and deserves a pay raise and paid vacation. They include Pam Chevone,Heidi,Matt,Joyce,Felicia,Ryan,Mike Gilianie, Ryan and Letty each are so kind and compassionate. I don't usually write any reviews but I had an appointment with Dr. Katharine Schulz-Costello and I can not thankful enough for being so knowledgeable, thural, caring and sensitive about this subject. Someone has canceled an appointment before us so she was able to take us early and instead of just talking to us for an hour, we spent about 3 hours talking about all the treatment options and details about the breast cancer. We pretty much took up two appointments and she REALLY cared, it wasn't about the money for her and you don't always feel that at the healthcare community. Anyways, I am disappointed there are no reviews for her yet but I am drawing the first line here.
