Alex was my mom’s nurse for her final 7 months, as she was suffering from advanced Alzheimer’s. I can’t say enough about his care, his personal attention, his engagement, his wealth of knowledge and skill. He weaned my mom off the bevy of unnecessary medications the hospital had her on. And unlike the hospital, she was never gloved or strapped down (even though she could be so aggressive she even punched him). My mom loved Alex. She told him as much. During her last 48 hours on this earth, Alex was there the whole time. For the first 24 hours he didn’t sleep. For the second 24 hours he got up every hour on the hour to give her morphine and comfort her. We were so grateful for all he did, we asked him to come to the funeral. I would not hesitate to turn to Alex again for any relative going through such a struggle.

Excellent service and prompt professional staff. As a hospital case manager , I find them very good in all levels. I’m not sure why anyone is posting negative comments!

I do not leave Google reviews, but I wanted to write this to make someone's choice a little easier when researching hospices. The burden of having to find one to help me take care of my mother at home was immense. But from the moment we contacted Samaritan Hospice, to every single person involved in my mother's care via home visits or my frantic 3AM phone calls, to the counselor helping me process my loss—we chose well. We were and continue to be so grateful for the quality of care and the compassion from every single person involved in making my mother's last few days on earth as peaceful as possible. Literally: every individual person involved has been a blessing to our family. Thank you.
