List of Abdul Nawabi's Reviews
Bad business practices, Twice booked appointments cancelled with no consideration on my inconvenience to keep changing my plans. When mentioned I was told to see some other doctor, unprofessional and arrogant doctor.
I scheduled a “rapid antigen test” for travel a few weeks ago over the phone with Maria for myself and my son. She scheduled my appointment and took my credit card information to secure the appointment. I then scheduled the same test for my sister-in-law and her mother. I go to the office (Maria is at the front desk) and see a print out about the types of covid tests they offer and it states an antigen test and another test (can’t remember the name but it isn’t a PCR test) and I confirm that the one I’m getting is an antigen test. She says the one I’m taking is valid for travel and is an antigen test. I get my test done, they email me the results and then I go to upload the docs for my travel check in and they aren’t valid because she gave me a molecular nucleic acid test which isn’t valid for international travel. So I text with a representative of Delta and they confirm that the test given is not an antigen and is not valid for international travel. She did the same test for both myself, my son, my sister-in-law and mother-in-law. I called Maria and she said the one she gave me is valid for travel and is an antigen test. I assured her it wasn’t an antigen test after speaking with Delta. I requested a refund and they denied it. Worst experience ever. Not only that but the doctor, Dr. nawabi wasn’t present at the doctor’s office and yet the result that was emailed was signed by him. I’ve been there prior for a covid test (this time just to check, not for travel) and he has never been there and yet his signature is on the results page. Nonetheless, I would not recommend them to anyone.

Went to see Dr. Nawabi for years. Today called about an rx refill that had been pending for 5 days. They let me know they denied it because it's been 9 months since my last visit. I'm thinking I'll just make an appt then. They proceed to tell me I can come in but they are no longer accepting insurance it is now a cash pay clinic only and the visit will be $130 out of pocket. My copay is only $20 with insurance so it's enough of a difference that I am going to have to find a new physician. Very bummed that nothing was sent to patients to notify them of the changes.
I went into Dr. Nawabi's office for an annual physical which would have been covered by my insurance. Instead, the Dr. lectured me for 15 minutes about weight loss. I left upset and decided I would never go to his office again. I received a bill in the mail and I contacted my insurance company. They disputed the charge and it was declined. This practice was very deceptive. I did not go in for a weight loss consultation. I had made told the office several times I needed an annual physical. I reached out to the office to pay my bill and was told I now had finance charges on top and my bill was more. Maria was so uncaring it was disgusting. I would never recommend this office to anyone due to deceptive practices.
I went to Dr Nawabi for bronchitis and he immediately sent me to the hospital bc of a fast heart rate. He’s concerned about my health which includes everything weight, cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, and shoots straight from the hip. No mincing words. I respect him and his judgement. He’s an excellent doctor, and I absolutely love all his staff. They are caring and always do a great job. I highly recommend this doctor and his staff if you want the real truth about your health.
Thanks to Dr. Nawabi's weight loss plan I was able to lose 30 lbs. I'm in better shape now than I have ever been. I can't believe I'm saying that after having three kids. Dr. Nawabi and his staff are kind and easy to work with. I was able to meet my weight loss goal and reverse my weight related health issues. I can't thank him enough. I feel like I got control back.
He is a great caring doctor with friendly staff no waiting they will call you right the way he takes good care of all his patients thank you Dr Nawabi
I am about 25 lbs overweight. I am also a liver transplant patient with Gastroparesis, severe depression/anxiety and PTSD. I switched to Dr Nawabi because my first doctor overlooked shingles because I’m young. Dr Nawabi and staff are friendly, however it is clear that his concerns are with weight loss and can’t see past it. I went in because I had been feeling like I couldn’t get out of bed, he lectured me on my diet and when I said I don’t care about my weight until I get my mental state in order, he blew me off. He got an extra star because he prescribed me vyvanse, to give me energy and curb my appetite (even though I don’t really have one) but it ended up clearing my mind and stopping my anxiety/overthinking. I also heard him in another room prescribing vyvanse to someone else the next time I came in. Not sure if he’s getting a kickback from the company or it’s just a coincidence, but I am now seeing a psychiatrist because it looks like I actually have ADHD.

Also, side note, with most insurance carriers, a PCP cannot prescribe it to you if you want it covered by insurance. I went to the emergency room yesterday and I had a few lab results that were not normal. I had just had a physical a month before and he didn’t mention anything about these rising kidney numbers or that I am severely vitamin D deficient. I just requested all my records and will be finding a new doctor. I’m sure once my mental health is taken care of, I will get back to my normal weight on my own without the drugs he kept trying to prescribe.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
