This doctor is by far the BEST doctor I've ever seen for myself, and trusted as a pediatrician for my 4 children when they were growing up. (Well, they actually are still finishing "growing up, but here I am speaking of medically "grown-up".🙄😊) So, my 1st "compliment" is that, I would never want to be married to Dr. Odio, even tho he IS very handsome, but that's off the point..just saying that there is nothing wrong with him as a regular guy--he's so gentle and there's nothing bad about him at all! He's one of the sweetest/adorable guys I have ever met in general.. not just in the medical field! So why would I say something like that as a "compliment"? Only because, during each of my hospital stays, after giving birth to each of my four children at SImi Adventist, (and even tho he was not my OB of course) somehow he would always show up late at night (between 10 pm to 12 midnite?) like an "attending angel" just to say hi to me, see if I needed anything & was alright & such!! Which was a pleasant surprise from someone in the medical field as u can imagine! By my third baby I was expecting him, and sure enough, he woke me up about the same time that he always did! I did wonder at first how he knew I was always an admit at the hospital, but it didn't take me long to figure out that the only way he could have known everytime that I was giving birth to one of my "Precious" little ones, was that he must have some kind of routine where, like almost always, after finishing up at his office across the street, instead of going home right away, he must go into the hospital, check all the boards & find all the patients he knew!! So I "wouldn't want to be married to him" because I just am too needy of a chick & have to have my husband come home on time cos I get lonely & insecure (yeah, I am one of THOSE wives! 🙄👍🏼😜👀) but Dr. Odio must almost never be home because he's always taking care of us--the patients! However, I am sure he is a wonderful husband and has a wife who is a perfect match for a doctor's crazy schedule & supportive of the life doctors lead helping people, especially this one! Oh, PLUS, I must mention that he is an extremely extremely knowledgeable MD for a family doctor--not just a "nice guy"! I never left that office without learning something interesting & helpful that I would've never heard from another doctor! So I will leave that as enough to let you know how awesome a care-giver he is! Only one thing.. at least around 10 years ago, it sometimes took up to 2 months to get an appointment with him for a physical or whatever, as he is a VERY popular doctor! So plan ahead as it will be worth the wait--esp. If you are going to use him as a pediatrician! There IS no other doctor that can substitute for him if you really want the VERY BEST care for your children! Miss you Dr. Odio, & God bless! (Sorry so long..) Junebug
I have been seeing Dr. Odio for many years and I find him an excellent doctor and human being. His bedside manners are excellent and he definitely takes time to explain and listen. There isn't an ounce of arrogance ( A characteristic which unfortunately is present in many doctors these days) in him. I just wish it was easier to get appointments with him !!
This review is for Dr. Odio's phone nurse Bree. I called in today to get some info on a prescription that was prescribed to my mom. Bree was so helpful went above and beyond to answer all of my moms questions offers to call Costco pharmacy to figure out the issue for my mom. This kind of service is just not common anymore!! Thank you Bree!!
I have been seeing Dr. Odio since he began practice over 30 years ago. Although medical practice has changed over the years due to insurance regulations, etc., Dr. Odio has always met my needs. He is humble, gracious, gives his time to you, never rushes you and listens to your concerns. I have never left his office thinking he forgot something or I forgot to tell him about something that's bothering me. Again, he gives me TIME, which is hard to get these days with (again), the regulations that the insurance company's mandate. I'm fortunate that knowing him for so many years, he knows my family and always asks about them. I can't say enough how highly I value his work in the medical field and what a wonderful person he is.
Phenomenal Doctor!!! Dr. Odio is a brilliant man who genuinely cares about his patients. He listens, diagnoses accurately and follows through with patient care. He is kind and definitely not arrogant. He is a doctor for all people, not just the affluent. He speaks at least two languages and comes across as having become a doctor to heal the sick, not to become rich. Over a decade ago, I took my daughter to urgent care in Van Nuys. I asked that doctor if he could recommend a doctor in Thousand Oaks or anywhere within a 30 mile radius. He unequivocally and without hesitation, suggested Dr. Odio. I couldnâ??t be more satisfied with a physician than I am with him. My husband, adult daughter and son are all patients of Dr. Odioâ??s. They say good Dr.â??s know good doctors and that becomes evident when you meet the other doctors in his practice. They are all extremely competent, but Dr. Odio is the best!
Dr.Odio is a very concerned physician. He sometimes runs behind but that is because he makes sure all your questions are answered. He is detail oriented and understands how confusing insurance and the business of medicine works. His manner is friendly and respectful and considerate. His follow up on lab work or tests is good -- He mails a hand written card or calls. His office is nice and very clean.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
