Great Doctor. Saved my life. Literally. I was dying from sepsis and he was the only doctor who listened to me. Cant say the same for the nurses. Constantly forgetting to call prescriptions in to the pharmacy. Even after calling the required 3 days in advance to remind them. Even after calling again the day of my refills. They still forgot. Every 2 weeks FOR MONTHS ON END. So I said something about it to one of them. The nurse who was responsible for forgetting consistently every 2 weeks. And a few hours later I get a call from the receptionist telling me that I am no longer a patient of Dr. Mathews. I still stand by what I said. The nurses treat you with a mild tolerance and disregard. Youre just another form for them to fill out. Just another blood pressure check. Just another customer in their drive thru doctors office. I believe Dr. Mathews truly cares about his patients and attempts to heal everyone .I think he is frustrated when it comes to addiction. Its much more difficult to treat addiction than anything else I think. If you have cancer you take medicine get chemotherapy and possibly surgery. And hopefully youre good after that. Addicts cant be treated by giving them more medicine or with surgery. And each patient is completely different from another. I commend him for his efforts and thank him from the bottom of my heart for saving my life. But youre nurses need a course in anger management and attention to their lack of professionalism. Gossiping about patients in the presence of another patient? Routinely forgetting to call a patients prescriptions in to the pharmacy..knowing they will be out of their medicine and will be physically ill without it. Not just once or twice..but on a weekly and biweekly basis. Even making them wait a day or 2 after calling in to remind them to call in a refill several times beforehand. You cant tell me its not intentional. I dealt with it personally and witnessed it with several other patients. Completely unprofessional and malicious. I hope youve seen it for yourself by now Dr. Mathews and have done so eyhi g to temedy the situation. My guess is you havent...because youre too damn nice.

Most caring doctor there is around. He listens to your problems then sets up a plan to give you the best aftercare and treatment so you can have a normal quality of life

This team and amazing staff treated me for a couple years and totally understood my historymy current situationsand worked with me on every little thing they could and eventually helped save me in some ways and I thank them all and their wonderful staff for everything that they did.

Dr. Matthews has treated me over 10 years. He has always been a very kind and caring doctor. He always has time to listen and never rushes you through your visit. He even researched my case history and came up with ideas to treat me that specialists in Portland failed to find in my treatment. His nurse is especially kind and caring professional also. Very hard to find care givers like this anymore!

He is the most caring doctor Ive ever been to. He visits with me is willing to listen to my problems and advises a course of treatment that is powerful enough to allow me to have a life worth living but yet monitors me closely so any problems are adverted.
