This place is the absolute best ever. They treat you like Royalty and with utmost dignity and respect. They check on you frequently instead of leaving you alone in the ER room wondering where everyone is at. Love this place. I wish they would build a Hospital in Santa Maria. Santa Maria needs SYVH. :)

Because of that hospital and the emergency room I almost can't walk. I actually still cannot walk but it's looking like I will be able to. They turned me away in an ambulance twice telling me all I had was the backache. It turned out it wasn' just a back ache like they thought!!

Great hospital for mild injuries. Anything related to Cardiac or requiring hospitalization this hospital only serves as a triage center and requires an ambulance ride to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Of the 5 times I have had to use it as a triage to Santa Barbara, the staff were friendly and quick to attend to my needs 4 out of the five times. The one unpleasant experience left me with pain on a scale of 9 for almost an hour before being treated. That was unacceptable and they were not even busy that night

A NIGHTMARE!!! This is the WORST place I have ever been to. The staff is incompetent and uncaring. They left me crying in pain for hours - against the law by the way. As I was crying, a nurse came in and yelled, "STOP IT - JUST STOP IT!" as if I were an errant child. It was horrible. Obviously, from other reviews, I am not the only one who had this experience. When I became angry, they threatened to call security. I felt like I was in hell. The "Doctor" who treated me was a joke - I could barely understand her. She came up with a completely inaccurate assessment. It was a tremendous waste of my time and money. Unless you are in a life threatening position, DON'T GO! Drive the extra 30+ minutes to Goleta Cottage or SB Cottage for excellent service.BILLING - their billing system is entirely ridiculous. They can't tell the right foot from the left. They send out 3 separate bills - two bills were sent to the correct insurance, the third, THE LOS OLIVOS EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS GROUP billed the wrong insurance repeatedly, despite my calls, and now I am in COLLECTIONS! They have completely ruined my perfect credit.
