This emergency room and the ER doctor are just plain scary! The worst care ever!Get them in, get them out, they are really not equipped to handle an energy! The goal is get paid and send them home no matter how sick they are!!
Excellent service and staff
Just broke my arm - as a Physiologist I can tell you, this is a fine ER & Hospital. Had the pleasure of working with Dr. Travis Mellon, such a caring & empathetic Professional.Great staff, excellent facilities, fine Doctors - this place deserves some Five Star Reviews
A couple months ago I ended up going to the ER (which I would never go to unless I really felt I needed to) with dizziness. I had amazing nurses (I was so sad to see Seneca called out negatively below, because my experience with her was the exact opposite on the day I went. She was incredible). But when my doctor came in (Gregory Robertson), he basically made fun of me for being there. He repeatedly asked me why I was even there. His reaction made me feel stupid for going to the ER, even though he was going to get paid thousands for my silly choice of going that day. When I got the bill for $1500 I was appalled. I get to pay him $1500 for making fun of me...awesome. THEN, a few months later, I receive another bill (which for the record, I had not yet paid the first bill because I wanted to dispute it), for $800+ more dollars for the exact same visit. I called the physician services company to ask about this and they said that it is because it was "recoded" and moved from a Level 4 to Level 5 management of care. I asked what that meant... That man, who made fun of me for the silliness of me going into the ER for "just vertigo" moved my management level of care to a level 5 which is "a life threatening situation". Do you think he would have made me feel stupid for going to the ER for a "life threatening situation"?
Immaculate, fast, kind people and very professional. We're SO fortunate to have this facility right here!
First I was questioned as to why I came using their ER and not Lompoc. Then the nurse tells me "well it's going to be a while before they even see you, since we have two real emergencies". The doctor walked in and without even asking me anything advised me that he "he doesn't give narcotics for migraines". I didn't even get a chance to tell him what's going on with me. I didn't even ask for anything. He just assumed I was their for drugs when i was having a severe migraine attack with Aura. This is not how you treat patients.
I was questioned repeatedly why the ER and never heard about my symptoms I received NO medical, compassionate CARE was this because I left my insurance card in my car?I asked where the doctor went to school to become a doctor since he was wearing a mask and dirty clothes with stains and smelled so awful like he been uncloging toilets, THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE HIS NAME AND ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS SO I LEFTNow I receive a Bill $2,000 This has to be a joke because its funny clowns get to put on a half way show and bill for it
Very sweet and friendly, doctor and nurse. I Came in with an awful lower back pain and they took care of me quick👍🏼👍🏼❤️
This place is the absolute best ever. They treat you like Royalty and with utmost dignity and respect. They check on you frequently instead of leaving you alone in the ER room wondering where everyone is at. Love this place. I wish they would build a Hospital in Santa Maria. Santa Maria needs SYVH. :)
They were fast and the nurse and doctors were great!! We were in and out quickly!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
