Christina Liu's Online Review Report Card

After three visits for a prescription, it still wasn't right. She blamed it on optician, not at Target. I found another optometrist who got it right the first time. I was always on time, polite and respectful. She was late, rushed, critical and sarcastic. When frustrated, she repeatedly referred to me as "my dear". I do not know how she has collected so many positive reviews.

I found Dr. Liu on Yelp. She had great reviews and when I met her in person, it was clear why. She is personable and easy to talk to about any of my vision issues or what may seem to be a silly eye question. She takes the time to explain and even tries to get to know her patients. She listened and tried to understand my concerns, so I didn't have any doubts with my prescription, unlike my previous optometrists, who rush through the exam leaving me skeptical with what they prescribed. Thanks Dr. Liu!

Update: Dr. Liu called me personally and we are working things out. So great to see a professional go above and beyond the call of duty to make things right in the eyes of the customer. Below is the history but "all's well that ends well."On September 30, 2020, Dr. Liu gave me a complete eye examination and fitted me for contact lens. I was not told that the prescription was only good for the brand listed. When I went to Costco they told me I could not buy Costco lenses because my prescription was limited to the one brand Dr. Liu prescribed. I called Dr Liu's office on my way in to get the prescription modified to include the Costco brand but she was not in the office that day. I called several times after that to try to get an appointment and was told to leave my number which I did but never got a call back. Because these lens were going to be a backup and because I rarely wear them, I was not in a hurry to get them and because my prescription specifically said it expired one year later, September 30, 2020, I assumed I had until then to get the brand changed and buy a year's worth of contact lenses. I called again today a couple of times and the first time got the same message to leave my number and I would be called back.I never got a call back but on the 2nd call I did get through to someone. I was told that Dr. Liu has a policy that even though the prescription is good for one year, if you do not come back within 6 months, you have to pay for another complete examination to get the brand changed.I informed Dr. Liu's assistant that if I have to pay for another complete examination, I will be going elsewhere. So, what I learned is that your prescription is limited to the brand on the prescription and with Dr. Liu, you have 6 months (or maybe 3 months) to go back and get the brand changed or you will have to pay for a whole new examination even though your prescription is valid for an entire 12 months.

Dr Liu and her staff are amazing! I have been going to her for several years now and have always had an amazing experience. She never rushes me through my appointment and always answers all my questions. She and her staff are all super friendly and accommodating and very thoughtful of all my needs. I highly recommend Dr Liu ... if I could give 100 stars I would do it!!!

I don't have vision insurance and was happy to find Optometry Now. I made the appointment online easily, and Dr. Liu was very helpful in making me feel valued. She was helpful in answering all my questions and heeding my feedback about how much I hate the contacts my old eye doctor gave me. She gave me some new contact samples to try, eyedrop suggestions and coupons, my prescription, and sent me on my way.Also gotta love that this is inside a Target so you can get your shopping done afterwards. The whole appointment took under an hour and I really appreciated her patience. Most doctors won't even give you the time of day. For these reasons, I will be back.

I've been seeing Dr. Liu for the past few year since she opened her business in our local Target. She is very welcoming and engaging as well as being an awesome optometrist. My prescription is spot on. The other team members within the optical department are also very knowledgeable and helpful.

I had a great and easy experience. The staff is extremely friendly and experienced and provide feedback on the great selection of frames that they carry, I was overly impressed by the amazing customer service.

It was my first time at Target Optical and first time patient to Christine and I have to say it was the BEST experience I've ever had at any type of appointment. Dr. Christine is super sweet and such a pleasure to be around! She is very professional, informative, and makes you feel like you have been friends for years. I truly had a wonderful experience. Not only was Dr. Christine great but her storefront staff was great as well. I highly recommend coming here and will definitely be coming back.

Dr. Lou has been my eye doctor for over 5 years. After just completing my annual eye exam, I am once again reminded of how diligent she has been in tracking my eye health over the years. In addition, her level of professionalism and commitment to keep at the forefront of new technology in her office all contribute to why I keep coming back. TED ... (very happy patient)

Great experience today at Target Optical. They got me right in for my exam, I picked out my new glasses, and was on my way. Dr. Liu is very personable and answered all my questions. I highly recommend!
