5 years of sessions. Dr Herman treated my brain injury and early onset dementia as co-dependency, and lack of will to get better. He supported the abuse by my narcissistic exhusband as my brain was slowly being destroyed by my immune system. All of my begging for help was infantalized. Meanwhile my caudate nucleus shriveled to 40% of normal size due to cytokine attacks. I have severe PTSD from the abandonment and the resulting homelessness (but his office never failed to call to see if I could pay those missed payments). After 3 years of serious brain recovery (including HBOT) my memory is back. I wasted thousands on this man telling me to "grieve" and take personal responsibility as he enabled my abuse and isolation. He should not be practicing.

I have been seeing Dr. Herman for over a year. I have faced many crises during this last year and although I suffered through them, Dr. Herman inspired me and gave me the confidence I needed to stand up to those who wanted to push me down and suppress me. I would not be the person I am today without Dr. Herman, due to his great warmth and profesionalism, and especially his ability to push his clients to face their fears and overcome their greatest challenges. I truly believe that I may never find a psycotherapist as good as Dr. Herman again.
