Very rude doctor. Unprofessional. Does not treat patient as a whole human being. Only focused on her surgical plan. When asked questions she was annoyed . Replied "do you want me to draw you a picture?" Would never recommend anyone ever to have her as their physician. Stay away from her.

Dr. Poornima Rao is an awesome doctor. She is very knowledgeable, caring and thorough. She explained every detail of my diagnosis to me and made me feel at ease. I felt comfortable asking her questions about my diagnosis. I love Dr. Poornima Rao! Her MA’s and staff are just as wonderful as she is.

I have never met a doctor who cared more about her patients. Dr. Rao takes the time to listen to your concerns and addresses them. I am a 4 year breast cancer survivor. I will never forget my first meeting with Dr. Rao. She knew I had cancer and she laid out my options taking time and care to let me know she was gonna be with me the whole way. She drew me diagrams and made sure I understood. Even when I changed my mind on what direction I wanted to go, she wanted to hear my reasons to ensure I fully understood my path I chose. I continue to see her every 3 months as a piece of mind. I tell her thing that don't seem right and she will either be concerned and run tests or, put my mind at ease that it's ok. My husband and I fully trust her with my life. I would never seek another Dr. To replace her. Dr. Rao truly cares for you as a patient. I would strongly recommend her to anyone. Still going strong, Lisa.

Dr Rao is a caring surgeon. She explains your treatment plan in ways that you can understand and makes you comfortable. She made one incision during surgery and I now have one scar where there should really be 2! Cancer is not fun, but if Dr Rao is in your corner, then you can do this!

I am thankful that Dr. Rao is my surgical oncologist. Cancer is a uncharted territory when diagnosed. Dr Rao is patient and very detailed about explain the treatment options, my surgical options, and what to expect going forward. She outlined my whole treatment plan and explained my diagnosis in detail. I feel very comfortable and at ease in her care. The one thing I can say on a personal note is she really treats you like a person she cares about. She's just fantastic.
