This is let the office ladies know that you guys are a incompetent phoney. I try to make an appointment for breast mammogram. The first lady provided me with the wrong fax number. Next day l called to make an appointment, second lady was not helpful and hang up on me when l asked if I can give a survey after our conversation. I will not be going back to City of Hope anymore. I got good insurance and l will take my care to somewhere else.

My mom (90yrs old) is diagnosed with breast cancer, prior to reach out to COH. She has done multiple MRI, CT, Ultrasound and mammogram. All within one month. I don't know why  she was asked to do pretty much all again at COH facility.  Our worst experience is  the visitor policy. My mom has poor hearing and doesn't speak English. Therefore she is heavily dependent on her daughter. As we come for appointment, we were told that no visitor approved under her profile, therefore no one is allowed to enter the building expect herself. we explained to multiple security guys that we will be discussing her surgery plan with doctor and her daughter needs to be there, not just as a family member, also she has been a postdoctor on cancer research for a few years. Then we were repeatedly told that they can provide a translator.  I feel it is heartless to treat a very old patient this way. They told us that we have to apply to be a visitor which the turn around time is 2 days. How can a 90 years old patient discuss her sugury  plan with her family member excluded? It has been a very stressful experience and how can they expect we know that we have to apply to be a visitor a few days prior to the visit??????

i was a donor to city of hope over the last 15+years with over $700,000 given. they told me if i ever needed anything i would be a priority. it never happened. i have taken them out of my trust for over 6,000,000 and they didn't even call back.

USELESS.WASTED TIME FOR A LOT OF $$$$$.Took 3 years to get an appt due to INSURANCE.Major sacrifice paying over the top $ for the Medical Insurance they required....And nothing. No clinical trials available, stay on the same medication currently taking. It was just a Costly, Complete Waste Of Time.The only reason I rated 2 stars is because everyone within the New Patient Process area.....very nice!Very accommodating!Bink*Except for the most important person! The Doctor.Really disappointing. I was shocked how he left the room twice right in the middle of our conversation/concerns/questions about treatment to take cell phone calls outside in the hallway.Unbelievable.Dr. Lu really gave a nonchalant, uninterested 10 minutes of his day to our hopeful faith in the facility. And he kept showing off his fingers like a lady would do...couldn't figure out why.  That just topped it off as all bad....Gees.Disappointed.

I have been coming here since 2019 for my cancer treatment. Dr Yim has been outstanding in my care from the very start and even now years later. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything to me in detail. I'm not an easy patient, my anxiety takes control most of the time, plus my case is a bit different than most too, but Dr Yim has done everything to assure and encourage me and I continue to have a bright hope for the future. The rest of the staff in general are phenomenal. Every person you pass by is smiling at you wishing you an amazing day and open to helping in any possible way that they can. They are so friendly and approachable it makes me confident to make eye contact and wave hi and bye to them all! They really make you feel like they truly care. I was so lost both physically on their extremely large campus and emotionally confused when my diagnosis was still fresh and new, but no matter what obstacle I've faced there has always been someone there at City of Hope to raise my spirits and provide support and guidance in any way that I needed it (for example if you ask where something is, more times than not instead of just pointing and directing you to somewhere, they will offer to walk you to where you need to go, I find this a uniquely positive and one of a kind VIP experience! Sometimes it's the little things that makes someone's day..) thank you to everyone at CoH who make this place feel like a second home. Keep up the great work, you are heroes!

THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.  Don't get into an accident right now and if you can donate blood or platelets please consider doing it because people are in desperate need.  It's a matter of life or death for some.  Went in this morning to donate platelets for someone's daughter I know who is very very sick.  In the process of being checked in I found out that the whole of Los Angeles is short on blood and platelet donations.  So much so that UCLA shut down their trauma center.  The nurse told me whatever I do right now, do not get into a car accident or any sort of accident because they are low on blood and there's no help. I've included in this review here their public plea to have this message broadcasted on social media.Not rating this hospital since I've never been treated here.  So giving it an average between 1 and 5 stars.

The city of Hope has first-class equipment, but the system is chaotic, and it is shocking that some doctors lack the basic love for patients. Entered this hospital for treatment in November, and was assigned to a doctor who had no medical ethics, Dr. Niki Pantel. She never answered any patient questions in the patient portal (twice to ask important treatment questions) and the hospital's private email (5 times to ask important treatment questions) ). so many patients need to enter treatment from the fourth week after the cancer surgery, but Dr. Niki pantel just meet patient once then never answers any questions, no season. the patient asks for a meeting again, no answer also.In this situation, the patient had to request a change of doctors. What is unbelievable is that the procedure for changing doctors in the City of Hope lasted for two weeks. At this time, it was the eighth week after the cancer surgery. without the guidance of a doctor, All treatment decisions are made by the patient searching for answers on Google.Two weeks later, After the hospital arranged a new doctor, the first appointment of the new doctor was made a few weeks later - at twelve weeks after the cancer surgery. This is also the deadline for cancer patients to receive treatment. the patient once begged to make an appointment with the new doctor earlier, but although the appointment was made, it was canceled the day before the appointment, the reason is that "the new doctor does not want to see you at this time". This is a shocking answer. (it is worth mentioning that city of hope upland radiotherapy department is very efficient and top-notch.)If the patient enters the city of hope, if he is assigned to a doctor like Dr. Niki Pantal,  then your life is not guaranteed. Once, the enthusiasm of the staff of the City of Hope was moving, but the chaos of the hospital system was shocking.

COH is an exceptional Cancer Care Center. Everyone from the doctors to the Parking Attendants 'are extremely positive, kind caring and supportive. My husband is undergoing Cancer Treatment and they treat him like a Prince

If I could give this place a 0, I would. Initially, they will tell you everything you want to hear. "We have a new clinical trial, that you can be a part of that has good success" then they will find a reason not to put you on a clinical trial. I truly believe, they have a criteria that must be met to keep their numbers high. Dr. Li, their oncologist is awful! And has the worst bedside manners, I have ever witnessed. From an initially visit on a Monday telling us that my dad would start his treatment to 2 days later on a Wednesday telling him he needed to be admitted right away for an MRI, due to a suspension of a blockage. Then Dr. LI pushed the MRI back almost 24 hours, making my dad and us freak out more. First thing, I thought to myself was "isn't this a médicos emergency, why is it being delayed" I finally asked the nurse to call Dr. Li, which he said, that the bilirubin wasn't that bad, that's why there wasn't a rush to have this procedure done. Finally the next day, At the end of the MRI, He basically walked in and told my dad guess what, I have good news and bad news which would you like to hear first. In sum, he basically told my dad "good luck," and said go ahead and  make arrangements to call hospice. After telling him 2 days prior that his treatment was good to go. Who switches a flip within two days. Not to mentioned, they had a bunch of hospice companies calling my dad right after the horrible news, that is a Hippa violation to give out a patients phone number with health records without their consent. When I asked the companies who gave their number to us, they said CIty of hope! Just background on my dad, he had a a 10cm accumulation of lesions and 4.2 cm mass lesions on his liver. After the MRI, Dr. li said that the that the mass had grew so big in two days, when i asked what size, he couldn't even answer. Just using words like huge, enormous. I asked for a copy of the report which read a mass "collectively" measuring 14cm. To me, it sounded like I added the two numbers together. Overall, worst experience of our life. Please keep your love out out of the place. Dr, Li ruined my dads hope. I had to witness my dad undergo depression due to Dr. Li bedside manners. Who wants to be told "good luck," after they are told they have 3 weeks to live!

Dr. Mark Tan performed my diep flap surgery and I am so pleased with his work! He made me feel comfortable in my skin all over again. I highly recommend him. He is very detailed and listens to all you're questions and concerns. Thank you thank you city of hope! I love you guys so much.
