Dr. Miller is an exceptional physician and surgeon. The day of my consult I knew immediately that “he’s my guy”. He replaced my aortic root and repaired my aortic valve. He has an abundance of knowledge. He sits and reviews scans with me in detail explains everything thoroughly to where I can understand listens well and has a good bedside manner. He is by far the best I cannot praise him enough. On a scale from 110…..Dr. Miller is ??.

This is way long overdue. There arent enough stars to give to Dr. Miller a man who saved my life. I had a thoracic aortic aneurysm and got 3 consults. It was a no brainer after meeting with him who I would choose to do my surgery with. His knowledge experience and expertise are beyond inspirational. I had my surgery 7 years ago and its been quite a journey. Everyday I wake up I thank God for Dr. Miller and his staff for giving me the opportunity to live and serve my purpose in life. My second chance has given me a whole different appreciation for life and I am forever grateful to God for leading me to such an amazing man and surgeon.

I saw Dr. Miller as a consult after being diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm. To my surprise he recommended surgery. After much consideration I proceeded and it was definitely a long and difficult road to recovery but 13 years later I am here....and have seen my youngest daughter get married and the birth of four beautiful granddaughters. Just like childbirth...the pain was worth what life has to offer. I am so grateful to Dr. Miller and the staff at Stanford Medical Center. Everytime I visit my cardiologist she tells me you had the best....and I agree.

Dr. Miller performed a mitral valve repair on me in 2013. In the beginning he went over my echocardiogram with me in detail to help me understand my mitral valve prolapse and the surgery he could provide to correct the problem. His incredible depth of knowledge in the field and his warm professorial demeanor gave me tremendous confidence in his ability. His team was extremely knowledgeable and provided great care throughout the extensive recovery process.

After treatment for bacterial endocarditis, Dr. Miller was at my bedside to discuss with me my upcoming third open heart surgery, to repair and replace my aortic valve and graft and mitral valve, all of which were affected by the bacteria. He had done my previous surgery 8.5 yrs before. I was in great hands.

Dr. Miller told me before my aortic root replacement 7 years ago that he had performed more of that particular procedure (T. David valve-sparing aortic root replacement) than anybody else in the country. That was not bragging, just assuring me of his credentials. But either way, don't you want that kind of experience and expertise in your surgeon? At any rate, Dr. Miller is warm and kind, while at the same time exuding confidence and authority. I highly recommend him.
