Dr. Kawaguchi replaced my knee joint. The results are incredible. I can walk without pain or a limp!
I felt worse after seeing this Doctor then before I went in to the visit. He spent most of the visit speaking to me in a very patronizing and belittling manner. I had to go back and forth with my insurance to be able to see this particular doctor and he said he didn't know why I would do that when I could have seen anyone else just wow! I have no words for his bedside manner which was terrible. I myself am in patient care and would never treat someone like that and I also hope nobody asks me what I think about him because I will surely have to tell the truth about my experience with him.
I have had a few visits with Dr. Kawaguchi and on every occasion he has been personal, kind, and has taken the time to listen to my feelings. He recently performed a right knee replacement and I am very happy with the results and it’s only been nine weeks since the surgery. Every question that I have asked was answered professionally and in my opinion he is a very kind person and very knowledgeable. please know this review is not about how well I’m doing after the surgery it’s about how good of a person that I believe he is. I would highly recommend Dr. Kawaguchi to anyone. I’ve known a few doctors in my life and he’s right up there with the best of them. All I can say is thank you! By the way I have one more comment the Alpine medical group staff is awesome.
I cannot say enough about Dr Kawaguchi. I had a meniscus tear in my right knee and was in constant pain. On 25 Nov I had arthroscopy surgery on my right knee which was performed by Dr. K. I was very concerned because I had never heard of him or his skills. My fears were quickly abated when one of the anaesthesiologists asked me who recommended Dr. K to me and I replied, "no one." He was just assigned to me.. He replied that I was assigned with the best surgeon when it comes to knees. I was so relieved and totally agree. His bedside manner is superb. He explains everything so well both prior to and after surgery. I never felt rushed. My recovery has been miraculous and the key is your assigned therapy. I actually wore heels just 3 weeks after surgery. Thank you Dr. Kawaguchi
This review is long overdue.... However, I waited so that I can give the through review Dr. Kawaguchi deserves. I fractured my lower left leg last June in three places. I was fortunate to get the "Rockstar" ortho doctor in our area. He is competent, professional and I appreciated his bedside manner. His office staff were amazing and a great assistance with filling my disability forms to the state. I will be honest, I was only concerned about wearing my 4 inch heels again after my surgery. He took my concerns into consideration and used a "tight rope" approach to fix my fractures. He also told me not to wear heels for 12 months. Now 14 months after my repair I am please to say that I can rock my 4 inch stilettos again!! Thank you Dr. Kawaguchi!! You're the best and I appreciate you!! ?????
Dr. Kawaguchi was very thorough and explained everything to my husband, Walt during his appointment this morning. Dr. Kawaguchi didn’t think doing surgery would clear up Walt’s situation with his knee, but did suggest an injection which Walt did. We appreciate his professional opinion.
Dr. Kawaguchi I thought was a good Dr. my father was going to him for years so I referred my husband to him. My husband went in to see him with swollen severe knee pain. Dr Kawaguchi told him it was just arthritis to go home and take Ibuprofen. My husband explained to him that his pain managment DR had taken fluid out several times but DR k Kawagichi did nothing just said take Ibuprofen. So my husbands pain management Dr sent him for an MRI and he has a torn meniscus. NOT ARTHRITIS. I am so disappointed with Dr Kawaguchi.
Dr. Kawaguchi was wonderful in my time of need and someone who I trust wholeheartedly with my loved ones and myself! Recently while on vacation in Chicago I broke my ankle (he treated me in the past for a wrist issue) and I needed to hear the voice of a surgeon that I trusted. He returned my call in Chicago and gave me the confidence to trust another facility with my urgent care. And as soon as I got off my flight he made himself available for amazing aftercare and treatment. Simply thee best.
I can't say enough about Dr Kawaguchi. He's the best. I had both knees replaced within one year with no problems. He's thorough, detailed, explains the process in minute detailed, and his work is suburb. I highly recommend him. I have my mobility back completely thanks to his skills.
Dr. Kawaguchi did a great job of diagnosing my condition and referring me to an excellent physical therapist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
