After over 15 years of debilitating pain in my right shoulder, I finally went and took care of it. Dr. McClintock suggested doing a reverse shoulder and we scheduled my surgery. Im two weeks out from surgery and my shoulder feels better than it has in 15 years. I am kicking myself for not getting it done sooner. I am looking forward to returning to my normal life and I feel like I finally can live pain free. Thank you Dr. McClintock and staff!
Dr. McClintock took great care of me doing a carpal tunnel surgery. He listens and answers all of my questions. This is the best surgeon around.
I’m not getting into a lengthy review. He gave me a sub prime shoulder replacement in March, his staff Nichole and Kennedy were the rudest most unprofessional human beings I’ve ever dealt with I couldn’t even get a bandage change when asked at week 4. I was told I’d be contacted “ at the appropriate time!” Well that time never came and I literally had to fight them to be seen at week 7. Since then he has fired both of them but too little too late. I was left with no pain medication or medical attention with a prosthetic grinding against my collar bone. I am a week out of corrective surgery and doing great. This place is the epitome of hack and slash medicine if your goal is to be left in pain, spoken to like your trash and eventually wind up needing another surgery to fix what they did then this is the place for you!!! If not find another surgeon
Dr McClintock is a nice guy, but he's not "there" for his patients- at least in our experience. If you call or email with a question, he's apparently too busy to give you the time of day. I also know of another patient that called with an urgent matter needing advice and the staff treated that patient like they were a bother and didn't try to get them help from the doctor. I want a doctor/surgeon that cares and will respond and be there for his patients.
After many years, the discomfort in my right shoulder was to the point where I could no longer lift my arm over my head, or objects over 20lbs. I really hoped I would never have to have shoulder replacement surgery, but my shoulder condition was worsening, and I had to do something about it. My primary care doctor recommended I see Dr. McClintock since he was a dedicated elbow and shoulder ONLY specialist. Following our first consultation, for the first time since the discomfort started in my shoulder, I was hopeful. Dr. McClintock’s approach to the surgery was a much more conservative and less invasive procedure than other doctors I interviewed. 18 days after surgery, I started physical therapy. My physical therapist was impressed with the results. There was very little post-surgery bruising and no swelling. I am just so grateful to Dr. McClintock for his skill and expertise. I feel a renewed confidence in being able to use my right arm and shoulder again. Thank you, Dr. McClintock!
I have found my "orthopedic home" for my bad knees and now hips. As a senior with Medicare and United Health Care supplement (AARP) you can't always find a specialist of this caliber who takes your insurance. Dr. Robert Jaimeson came highly recommended by other "peeps" in Auburn and Nevada County. From the initial phone call I was treated so kindly. Then when I arrived for a hip cortisone shot, the office manager was so sweet and fun. (We found we both had scoliosis and had to wear back braces as kids.) Then the nurse who took my information was great and THEN the physician's assistant, Nicole, was exceptionally kind, gracious, but very confident. I have been going to orthopods since I was 4 and she was more knowledgeable, I believe, than any of them. She gave her full attention, listened carefully, then showed me my hip Xrays on a big screen so I could see clearly while she explained my hip osteoarthritis. No one has ever done that before. She showed me I had bone spurs and where my hips were rotated, more than likely born that way! A revelation! Which makes sense because I was born with crooked feet and a crooked back. She treated me like a partner in solving this problem. She never talked "down" to me or acted like she was in a hurry. When she gave me the shot in my hip she numbed it so the shot wouldn't hurt!! That's never happened before: numbing before a shot. They are all about getting the patients out of pain. And, after researching Dr. Jaimeson, and speaking with Nicole, he performs THE LATEST hip and knee surgery and mostly out patient, so no hospitalization. I thought I would have to go all the way to San Diego for the latest. No, you can go here to get your knees and hips fixed with modern surgery in Northern California. I was treated with kindness, respect and as a partner in my future care. I checked them out with the shot, now the doctor will be working on my knees and hips in the future. Wonderful experience in a beautiful office!!!
Dr. McClintock was very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to me and answer my questions.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
