At first, he was a great doctor and I was excited for the future. Then I ordered my records and there were many things mentioned on the report that were never mentioned to me. When I told him that I was having horrible chest pains, he told me that I needed to tough it out. Any doctor who tells me to tough it out is not a doctor a want. He even sent me to UCSF, then told me that their findings of heart failure was wrong. I did not feel safe with Dr. Punjya as my cardiologist.

Dr. Punjya was been my Cardiologist from 2003 through 2014. In my opinion, he's the best, as is his trusty right-hand man, Leonard. If I hadn't moved from the Tracy area, I would definitely still have him as my cardiologist. He's brilliant!

He's the best. He treated me during some of my worst times with a-fib and subsequent stroke. I'm fine now because of his care, his referrals and on-going concern. I truly miss and and Leonard, his extremely capable right-hand man!

I would trust Dr. Punjya and his team with my life - as I have trusted them with my husband's life for the last 12 years. He is very caring but will not hesitate you tell you exactly what he thinks. I like that in a doctor. We have been extremely satisfied with his care and with his staff.

I thank God that there's still doctor that think about patient health rather than making money when my husband suffered from congestive heart failureI 2011 and on financial hardship his the only doctor who is willing to see him despite that he doesn't have insurance and money to pay the bills, even told on the registration counter not to ask him to pay for doctors visit..until now we still see him together with Dr. Vaishampayan and my husband condition is getting better keep up the good work Dr.

I was having unstable angina and checked into St. Joseph's E/R. Dr. Punja put a stint in and I feel a lot better. He has me working on a better diet and exercise plan. Thank you Dr. Punja!

I've been seeing Dr. Punjya since I was 17 and diagnosed with hypertension. I'm 36 now and he is like family to me. He's very thorough in explanations and tests ordered etc. His NP, Leonard has been with him for many years and he's like family too. The wait isn't bad. If there is a wait, it's because he takes the time with you and worth the wait.
