St. Joseph's Behavioral Health Center's Online Review Report Card

This facility deserves a class action lawsuit, based on my own experiences and the other reviews I've been reading. They discharged my friend who is gravely disabled, and sent him in a taxi to a homeless shelter that didn't even have a bed available. He doesn't have ID, a jacket, a single penny to his name, and no place to stay. It is one of apparently many examples of flagrant negligence by case management, along with the entire staff. Absolutely inexcusable, irresponsible patient care.

I'm diagnosed with a panic disorder.Going here, I got a therapist and psychiatrist.I'm a year in and I have a therapist and no longer on any meds!

It's a good program, they staff make the thing. However, they have really bad psychiatry on board. I talked to maybe a psychiatrist once or twice when I was discharging (what they call leaving). Make sure they don't drug you up in a bad way (there are no laws preventing that from happening). Get ready for your "prison" sentence as you can't leave.

Have been sent here twice, both times the staff have been every respectful. They were very aware of how I was feeling. They checked in with me. When I was placed in a less then desirable unit they made sure I felt safe and secure. They also moved me as soon as a bed as available in the other unit. No, this isn't where I want to be and yes, place is my first choice if I ever need them again. Thank you for all you do.

Great service

I love this place. I actually miss it. U see not everyone is doing well, and I don't care if your a mental patient, a drug addict, a alcoholic, or u had a nervous breakdown, it's the best place to be and safe. I have a friend that I want to go there, I'm praying for him. His family would love it. I've known this place for years. And the people that work there still. It's sad to hear about people that had a bad experience,. God knows I've had many but it was because of them. I went for a reason. I have left on my own and left when I finished my time there. So God bless the staff I know, and always thinking of you.

Excellent program, staff, and care. One on one and group as well as the medical detox and psych care they offer. There simply are not enough of these programs available and - IMPORTANTLY - this was affordable (they accept MediCare) and NO other treatment centers do.

Wish I could give 0 stars. My poor mother willingly admitted herself to get some help and they've done NOTHING to help her!! She told them what they're doing isn't helping but making only making things worse for her and they literally told her "Well you have to go along with it or else you'll be here longer" WHAT!? HELP HER!!!! THATS YOUR JOB!!! Last night She was being followed by a guy who was exposing himself so she had to lock herself in the bathroom. She is fighting constantly just to get her inhalers, the nurses told her to shut up when she told them she needs them. All they have to do is call the pharmacy and they won't... they just argue and tell her she can't have something she NEEDS. She was hungry and asked for string cheese and they wouldn't even give her that but took away the snacks I tried giving her from the vending machine, she feels like a prisoner I just feel so helpless. The nurse I spoke to in person was RUDE and so impersonal. NO sincerity whatsoever, the receptionist tried telling me my mother is a liar and the staff would never talk to anyone like that but after meeting the nurse I don't believe it! Why would my poor mom be crying me multiple times a day due to the poor treatment..

Insane!!! You go in with a problem and come out worse!!!

THEY HAD MY GIRLFRIEND HERE KNOWING SHE WASNT MENTALLY ILL AT ALL. IGNORED HER AND MADE HER FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AND THE STAFF WERE VERY DISRESPECTFUL. WORSE PLACE TO GO IN HER EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO, PLEASE AVOID.
