I had a great experience with Dr. Ecklund. He did a rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder. The result was excellent. My recovery was fast. His team were very helpful. Thanks Dr. Ecklund!

I've seen many Orthopedic surgeons. Dr.Ecklund was the third Orthopedic surgeon I've seen in the past 6 months, and also by far the best. Words can't express how amazing he is. Most orthopedists have been condescending, dismissive towards my injury and pain, not answered my questions, and treated me like I don't know what I'm talking about. Dr. Ecklund is everything you want in a great Dr. He was never dismissive or condescending, he answered all my questions and treated those questions like they were important. He also took his time, wasn't in a hurry, and made me feel like a valued patient. He was totally worth waiting months to get into see. He will be my go to Dr for any further orthopedic issues!

Today I visited Dr. Ecklund's office to deal with an annoying knee bursitis. I am absolutely terrified of needles, however, with Dr. Ecklund's expertise, patience and instructions the procedure was a breeze, and the impact was almost immediate. Dr. Ecklund is absolutely the best. I'll gladly and highly recommend Dr. Ecklund, I would give 10 stars if I could.

I met for over an hour with Dr. Ecklund. I was very impressed by him. He is one of the few specialists in the Bay area for shoulder replacements. He gave me his full attention as if he had nothing else to do but focus on my issue. When I explained my fear of the possible effects of anesthesia on my brain due to my advanced age, he did not try to convince me to go forward with surgery despite saying that my arthritis is "severe". He offered to find out whether my insurance will pay for Hyaluronic Acid injections, which work for knee arthritis but hasn't been approved for the shoulder. If approved, I will drive the extra hour each way in order to have him do the injections. A friend who did have him do her shoulder replacement was very happy with the results and is planning to go back to him for her other shoulder.

Dr. Ecklund is a phenomenal surgeon!! I had an excruciating pain in my right shoulder and Dr. Ecklund performed rotatory calf surgery really very well. Its been 6 weeks now and as I am undergoing physiotherapy, I really feel lot of improvement in my shoulder movement and my pain is almost gone. Dr. Ecklund is super intelligent, assesses patient condition very thoroughly and diligently and his diagnosis is absolutely accurate. He has lot of patience and listens to what you say. Even his whole surgery team(Anesthesiologist , Assistants, Nurses) were exceptionally amazing. I highly recommend him.

Absolutely ridiculous, so we went to see him once before and although he is a nice guy they made us wait approximately 2 hours to be seen. Today we went for another appointment and we were on a hour and a half waiting when we decided to just leave. Patient care should be his number one priority and it obviously is not if he makes his clients wait for hours to be seen. I will not be returning to Dr Ecklund.

Three and one half years ago, 2016, Dr. Ecklund performed a meniscus repair surgery on my right knee. The surgery was extremely successful and there have been no problems since. Pre-surgical appointments were excellent as Dr. Ecklund strove to understand me as a person and explained both the injury the proposed fix. Post surgical support with Dr. Ecklund and staff was also excellent. So staff support and Dr. Ecklund was a very positive and effective relationship. I felt that he understood very clearly what the problem was and the approach needed. Was very lucky to find such a skilled surgeon and warm personality and helpful staff.

Dr Ecklund did a great job on my shoulder and is one of the nicer people you will ever meet. I highly recommend him but since he is in such high demand be prepared to wait for an appointment.
