I’ve been their customer for the past five years. Unfortunately, I’ll have to drop them. Their front desk representative and doctors are fine, but the issues are: [1] the associate (not sure of their title) who will help the doctor key in the data and suppose to explain the insurance and cost/fee for you. The associate that I worked with in 2022 did the 🙄 face all the time, and the tone he spoke was disrespectful in person or on the telephone. This morning I had another phone call with him. Again he not only did not change his working attitude but also spoke in an even worse disrespectful tone. ---- this is the final straw that made me leave them forever. [2] the lady who will call you to confirm the appointment date. She will selectively fill into doctors' schedules based on her mood. If she's happy that day, you'll get an appointment asap. If she had a bad day, the next appointment that she booked for you would be 2.5 months later, and you'll have to ask her to check the schedule very nicely and comfort her, and suddenly there will be available slots popups. 🤷🏻‍♀️ [3] they never call my preferred name. I know it's personal, but by not calling my preferred name, there may be a chance that they have not carefully read all the data/forms I submitted. [4] very few Asian-fit frame selections. Most frames are out of fashion and not cute (ugly). -------- I hope this review is helpful!

Had a very unpleasant experience with their receptionist Rita. She was very rude and condescending, treating us as if she is doing a favor by allowing us to visit them. I would not recommend anyone to go here. They have lost a lifetime customer

Received bad customer experience in-spite of being a regular patient

Doctor Stephanie is very nice, very friendly and very patient! I had so good experience there. She deserves 5 stars. But I didn't receive any prescription after that and the glasses are over priced

The front desk doesn’t make you feel welcome at all. Lady was looking at me all crazy from the moment I walked in the door. Sunglass prices 100 over retail value. F this place

We had a great experience at Gary gold especially for selecting our glasses with Grace. She had great taste, very knowledgeable and had great patience! This was the best experience in last many years. The examination was good and quick too

After moving away from Sunnyvale to Santa Clara, I stopped going here. But the stores in Santa Clara keep disappointing me and then I went back to Dr. Gary Gold even though it is far from my home. This store has the best opticians who know how to fit glasses on Asian faces. Recently, Lou did the lenses fitting for me. She was really patient and skilled. My head is big. The opticians from other stores cannot make it feel comfortable. But Lou made the new frame feels perfect!

I wish I read more of these google reviews before booking my exam with them. From the front desk, to the assistant who took retinal screening photos, to the salesperson who help with your frame selection. Everyone is soooooo rude. I made that mistake by coming in. Wont do that for the second time. After the exam the only thing they gave me is my receipt. No prescriptions, no retinal screening photos, nothing. I have to go back and ask them for the prescriptions. How professional.

buyer beware, my wife replacer her Maui Jim sunglasses here, and when she got home realized that her missing ones were found. The next morning she called back to be told that sales are final on sum glasses...information that would have been really useful up front, as she could not return her unused newly purchased sunglasses.

Have been patient here for a few years. Perchases contacts as well. Recently had exam and Rx did not have pupil distance, so I could not order sunglasses online. Called to ask them to measure and add this to the Rx and they said they will only measure if I buy glasses from them otherwise it is additional $25.
