Richard Gayle's Online Review Report Card

In 2019 I suffered a rotator cuff injury with a complete tear of my supraspinatus tendon which made the raising of my left arm impossible. I immediately sought Dr. Gayle's assistance due to the exceptional surgical success experienced with Dr Gayle for a prior sports injury involving my distal bicep tendon. Dr. Gayle acted swiftly to surgically repair my torn rotator cuff. The "before and after" interior photos taken during surgery were amazing. The surgical sutures and tissue cleanup were impressive. I followed the suggested rehab process to strengthen my shoulder and supporting muscle groups. Within 6 months, I was able to return to my vigorous sports activities as though nothing ever happened. It has now been nearly 3 years since Dr. Gayle repaired my shoulder. I've continued the rehab exercises with free weights and elastic bands. I can report that my surgically repaired shoulder is actually stronger than the shoulder that was never injured! I still experience no pain in the shoulder joint. What a fantastic outcome! I am very grateful to Dr. Gayle and highly recommend him. He is professional, talented, and a pleasure to work with.

I wrote a review a few years ago, but decided to write another one. Met Dr. Gayle again after an additional dislocation, and he is wonderful! Patiently answers all of the questions, walked me through how a possible surgery would be, and lets the patient have time to make their decisions. The process of injuries and surgeries can be very unsettling and confusing, but I felt so comfortable as I walked out from the appointment. Lilibeth (his aide/nurse) was a delight too. Highly recommend!

No regard for patients time. Have been waiting over an hour past my appointment time n still no dr. He does this often. My wife had surgery twice by him n he is always late...... But it's the price u pay for a great surgeon. So I will wait.

Dr. Gayle performed a Scope Left Shoulder Rotator Cuff Repair on me 1 year ago. During rehab, the should responded well to therapy. The net result is that the repaired shoulder is even stronger than my non-injured shoulder and feels great. I was able to resume my normal activities which include beach volleyball and now weight training. Dr Gayle is a very skilled surgeon. My shoulder was very torn up inside as shown in the "before pictures" and was very tidy in the after surgery pictures. I really cannot believe the fantastic end result every time I use my shoulder.

Dr. Gayle is one best Dr. I and my husband are lucky to have him. He operated on my husband's shoulder in 2006 and mine in 2014. My husband had some kind of impingement and I had a complete rotator rupture. We received good care under Dr.Gayle. He is very patient,soft-spoken,takes enough time to discuss your concerns and replies promptly on my health online. Best bed side manners as well.

Very unprofessional. He showed up one hour late for a 9 am appointment on a work day. I had a work meeting I had to cancel because of his tardiness. If you cant take your appointments, don't make them.

I met Dr Gayle after a shoulder dislocation and I really appreciated his kind, respectful mannerisms. He patiently explained the various issues and took the time to answer a full page of my detailed questions in a straightforward, simple way. He doesn't seem to be as aggressive as some another surgeons, which is really good -- why would anyone want surgery if they could avoid it? He also was quite responsive over email through the healthcare app.

Dr. Gail scoped my right knee and did an excellent job. My knee feels great. Recovery was an ease.

Dr. Gayle has seen me 4 times and each time I seem to get a little different story or shotgun diagnosis meaning he does not seem real sure of himself. He is a very nice person but I am a little wary of his ability to diagnose my problem.

Dr. Gayle repaired my ACL a year ago and couldn't have had better results. All of the staff here is great - his assistant was always extremely helpful, the physicians assistants explained everything to me carefully, and Dr. Gayle was always great to work with. My surgery was super easy and recovery went well. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Gayle!
