List of Richard Koenigsberg's Reviews
Dr. Koenigsberg is amazing! He's very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. He explains what he's doing and why a specific treatment would be helpful. I l also haven't had to wait much before being seen. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Koenigsberg is a competent doctor, but his office staff is another story. I made an appointment a couple days ago for today because my foot had been hurting for a couple weeks. It started to feel better yesterday, but today I wanted to make sure it was still feeling better before cancelling my appointment. I called in the morning and was put on hold for about 10 minutes. When I finally got hold of the office staff, I explained that I wanted to cancel because I didn't want to waste Dr. Koenigsberg's time, and she rudely stated "you wasted both of your times, and you should have called yesterday!" I explained that it was starting to feel better yesterday but I wanted to make sure it didn't revert back to hurting today before cancelling, otherwise I would have lost the appointment if I cancelled and the pain returned. She quickly ended the call. She could have definitely handled this call differently ("I'm glad to hear your foot is feeling better", for example).I asked if there's a waiting list such that she could fill the slot, and she said no, and it's too late to fill the slot, even though my appointment isn't until late afternoon. It seems like there would be enough time to call someone to fill the slot. Whatever. If you can get past the office staff(and I've seen other negative reviews of the staff, so it's not just me), I'd still recommend Dr. Koenigsberg. He's pleasant to work with, and my parents go to him as well.
I have had trouble with my feet for the past 10 years and Dr kosenberg was the only one to correctly diagnose me with bilateral neuropathy 5 years ago. To make a really long story short he has been by my side every step of the way to try and at least stop the progression of my disease. I have other health issues that when I want to speak to a doctor I get recordings online forms and in some cases no response at all. I called this afternoon around 4:30 on a Friday evening and just left a message about some concerns I had and around 5:45 the doctor called me back personally. Dr kosenberg is a credit to his profession and I'm 65 years old and he has been the best doctor I have ever had!
Really, really nice guy with a great bedside manner. I stubbed my little toe hard and seemed to have sprained the bone behind it. So, not a huge health issue, but a bit painful to walk. He's knowledgeable and helpful. He taped it up and told me to ice it and tape it. And to stay off of the foot as much as possible. Easy. I also have to say that his staff are pretty nice too. It's a great, relaxed atmosphere in the office. I felt comfortable and welcomed. Yes, Dr. Koenigsberg is a good podiatrist. He took care of my issue and now that I'm writing this review a few weeks later, I'm happy to say I'm on the mend. What makes him and has staff stand out to me, and why I'm writing this review, is how nice they all are. I would definitely go back if I have another foot issue. No problems with billing. Again, easy! Thank you!
Worst appointment ever. Went to a different doctor who immediately solved my foot problem.
He is clear, concise, exams are well done, he is polite and listens to the patient and addresses the patient's concerns. 5***** by me. Excellent Practitioner!
I have been a patient of Dr. Koenigsberg for many years. I first saw him as a second opinion because my own doctor failed to diagnose my condition. Since then, I have been pleased with his bedside manner, skills and knowledge. I would highly recommend him.
completely satisfactory, timely visit, excellent treatment
Very prompt service and willing to take a last minute appointment is great. Highly recommend.
I really had hoped I would be able to write a strong review for Dr. Koenigsberg. He's a very friendly and patient orthopedic surgeon with great bedside manners, but I believe he was not capable of solving my peroneal tendon injury.Post surgery, I was continuing to have the same issues of my peroneal tendon dislocating out place from my peroneal groove. After many post-ops, Dr. Koenigsberg believed the issue had to due with scar tissue, which didn't make sense because it was nearly 8 months after the surgery. I had a hunch that it was a failed surgery, but Dr. Koenigsberg insisted with the aforementioned diagnosis.A year after the surgery, I have gotten a second opinion from a couple doctors who agreed that it was likely a failed peroneal tendon surgery and the methodology that Dr. Koenigsberg used was not effective. During this time, I felt that more damage was done because my ankle feels very tight and painful with the preexisting subluxation episodes persisting.I have instead opted for a revisional surgery with another surgeon in San Francisco who is more experienced in my injury and uses a newer methodology with a high success rate in returning to sports. Perhaps Dr. Koenigsberg is a good surgeon, but for different types of injuries. But it is for these reasons I can no longer recommend him for sports related injuries pertaining to ankle tendons.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
