List of Stephen Lee's Reviews
I had some severe billing issues with this business even long after finishing my time as a patient. All issues I'm dealing with right now below stemmed from just 1 appointment 18 months ago, so I recommend against even trying this provider just one time to see how you like it.1. I received and paid in full a bill for treatment within a month of my appointment. 18 months later the bill was modified with a higher price and they are trying to collect it.2. The original and new bills include codes for services I did not receive, notably electrical stimulation therapy.3. I was billed for at least 67 minutes of work despite it being a 60-minute appointment slot that started 5 minutes late. (From what I can tell on how coding timed procedures work, they claim doing anywhere from 67 to 123 minutes of work in this 55-minute interval). My HDHP insurance company rejected some of this, but it's not clear how much and someone paying out-of-pocket physical therapy would not have this advantage.4. They are refusing to acknowledge the unreasonable billing in (2) and (3) such as by reducing the original bill. They are instead threatening to send the new, higher bill in (1) to collections with a $70 collection fee, 18% annual interest, and potential impact to my credit score / report.Given the size of the bill difference -- The ~$25 I already overpaid them and the additional $25 or so they're asking for 18 months later -- it would be easy for them to eat the cost of what they're claiming was a 18-month-old billing mistake. It's common for businesses even in more cutthroat industries (e.g., restaurants) to eat the cost of their own even-larger mistakes. But instead I've spent 8+ hours researching and communicating with this provider and my insurance agency to untangle the problem.
Danielle is awesome. I had chronic sciatica and she was able to prescribe targeted movements and exercises that cured it. I went from not being able to sit in a chair and being in excruciating pain everyday to going back to normal life and not worrying about it. I also learned the value of continuing to have a routine for stretches even when things got better. She was patient and asked the right questions but also created a safe space for me to really open up about my sciatica. Its all about the people interaction and service and everything was far more than i expected. Most of the PT work relies on the patient to actually be consistent and do the homework but having someone help with accountability helps tremendously and she was able to be that accountability partner.Staff is great and very nice. The only note I have for new patients to be aware of is the Breakthrough phone service. I was brought to voicemail 90% of the time and even though they did call me back, I would of rather been placed on a brief hold. If last minute cancellations or questions came up, being put on voicemail is sub-optimal in my opinion but nonetheless this did not sway me to take away a star.
Therapist was very pushy about me coming in multiple times per week, which is uncomfortable when you are paying out-of-pocket and it is very expensive for every session ($150).
Great attention to deal. Appreciate their free clinics and feedback. Prior to Covid I attended their free clinics. They were very helpful in understanding my body’s weakness and what I needed to do to strengthen those areas.Their clinic does not take my current health insurance but they can work with you to accommodate that. They have been offering the client video meet-ups as well as Covid safe office visits. Office staff have received their vaccines.Highly recommended.Thank you Breakthrough
I had a great experience at Breakthrough with my physical therapist Niyati and was able to make improvement both in my posture as well as my neck pain. Would recommend this place.
Avoid avoid avoid. Do not go here. They are like a factory. They are inexperienced and the front office is rude. They literally just take you in a room talk to you and give you a rubber band and send you home. Go to a real physical therapy place. This is ridiculous.
I want to give BreakThrough a positive review since my physical therapist was essential to my recovery from a running-related injury.I'm unable to do so due to an unfortunate combination of circumstances and policy: BreakThrough gives every patient one free cancellation, and I had used mine due to a last-minute work obligation. After my scheduled treatment plan was complete, however, my therapist urged me to continue regular appointments "so these injuries don't keep happening." (I don't know why she said that since this was my first non-trivial injury in many years of running.) I reluctantly agreed and showed up for one of these appointments. We spent the hour going over basic running drills and stretching, all of which I felt to be not worth the $100, so I decided not to continue with more sessions.Regrettably this information didn't get communicated to the front desk, so when I didn't come to the next appointment I was charged a $40 cancellation fee. To make matters worse, I had moved addresses and didn't receive their initial letter but only their *second* letter, by which time the fee had doubled to $80. I tried calling to explain this situation but the charge was non-negotiable, even the additional late fee due to not having received the first letter in the mail.Ultimately, I paid the $80, but this situation left me frustrated. So, yes, as physical therapy goes BreakThrough does a fine job. Just be careful about being conscripted into additional sessions, and be careful when you cancel appointments.
The entire team at Breakthrough was amazing. From the administrative staff in reception to the therapist to the unsung heroes in the back providing the ice therapy and wiping down the equipment and providing clean towels. They were all extremely friendly, helpful, and caring. Danielle Conway was unbelievable! Her knowledge and level of care were unmatched. I was receiving treatment for a torn triceps tendon after surgery. Danielle's approach was to start to strengthen and improve flexibility in the entire arm while passively working the triceps. She made sure that the exercise was being performed correctly as well as sending a neat link that showed exactly how to do each exercise while at home. As my arm healed more and the strength and flexibility improved, I was able to work on the triceps directly. She adjusted physical therapy with the level of improvement and I quickly made huge strides. I also worked on my core strength with yoga (not easy!). Overall, it has made me realize how important keeping your body in shape is. I now am working out much more and more likely to continue. I am so thankful for all the help I received from Danielle and the Breakthrough team and highly recommend them.
My daughter, a competitive gymnast, was experiencing pain around her heels and Achilles tendon and was diagnosed with Server’s syndrome. Our pediatrician referred us to physical therapy and we were so fortunate to work with Danielle Conway at BreakThrough Therapy.First of all, Danielle would always welcome us with a big smile and my daughter felt very comfortable.Over the next 3 months, Danielle taught my daughter many stretching and flexibility exercises, focusing on her tight calf muscles, glutes, feet muscles and balancing. My daughter has now returned to gymnastics full time and has the tools to continue stretching correctly to prevent future injuries. We would strongly recommend Danielle for any athlete!
Great experience so far, amazing staff

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
