Sunnyvale Dermatology's Online Review Report Card

Very busy office, which is good, I believe they have multiple dermatologists in this office, I've been to the other skin institute in Redwood City and same great providers . great staff.

Go to this place if you want bad skin. I know this may seem harsh but honestly speaking the combination of the medical staff and how short the consultations are make it an non-ideal derm office. I went in to see Dr. Longmire and I got to the appointment on time, however I waited about 15 mins in the waiting room ( which I didn't mind, but it is nice when Dr. offices are on time). I finally got called in to the room and the medical assistant asked me a couple of questions for about two mins. Then Dr Longmire came in and she looked at my skin for a minute and immediately tried to push down the company she is partnering with (she has an affilite discount code) and then her next resort was antibiotics. Sidenote: I didn't have that many pimples BEFORE this visit. Finally I left in a matter of five mins with a HAND PRESCRIPTION. Who even uses those anymore?! My rx was for Retin -A-which completely ruined my skin btw. I went back four months later with so much acne and Dr longmire again was late and gave me antibiotics. Honestly go somewhere else if you can because I sure as heck am not going back.

Another stellar review for Kim Rufkahr! I have followed Kim to wherever she is working for two decades now because I don't trust anyone else. She was at a practice in LG for years, then with Dr. Recht for years, then back to the LG practice. I was really sad when Dr. Recht sold his practice because after it was acquired, it just didn't feel the same in there anymore. Also, I was angered when I couldn't book with Kim and the new staff wouldn't tell me where she had gone; I felt like that was rude and unprofessional. I should have known that all I had to do was put her name into yelp search to find her. I was able to schedule an appointment with Kim Rufkahr at Dr. Menkes in Mountain View.

Omg! Worse place ever!!! This place is money hungry!! If for any reason you ever need your medical report for your visit, they will charge you $25+additional fees per page. So if you need ONE page report of your visit, they will make you pay $25.25 for it!!! All doctor places and hospital do not charge you anything if it's your first time obtaining your medical record.. But this place does! Also, they will bill you $75 if you ever forget your appointment! Very disappointed! Beware and don't ever come here.. They are very money hungry and have high fees on everything!

I saw Sonia yesterday to get a milia removed and she is AMAZING. This was my first time having this procedure done and I was a little nervous because my esthetician at Burke Williams said a needle would have to be used to remove it. I have Kaiser and this was considered a "cosmetic procedure" so it wouldn't be covered by my insurance so I found Dr. Recht's office on yelp and when I called they made the appointment with Sonia who is the esthetician at that office. Kaiser said it would be $160 to remove the milia and Sunnyvale Derm charges $80 for extractions including the milia! Plus Sonia did other extractions to clear up my skin as well! She is so personable and I love how she explains everything she is about to do to your face. I will DEFINITELY be back for regular facials with her, which she mentioned are $115.

I highly recommend Sunnyvale Dermatology......I have been going there for over a year and I see Kim for Botox who is fabulous...I see results very quickly and only go every 4 months. She always has appointments to accomodate my schedule. I would never try another place, I am hooked!!!

I phoned to ask if they have the fraxel laser and the receptionist said "what is that?" It went downhill from there as the people who answer the phone are not professional (I was a receptionist for decades). I scheduled a free consult and was told I had to print out 3 forms from the website and bring them???? So I called to cancel and was put on hold and was politely waitng when a woman said Hello Hello. I did not know what was going on and was treated like I was stupid when she said that she had picked up the call whoever "she" was. I don't do business with people who treat me with disrespect.
