Dr Kovar really cares about his patients. Available when I need him. Watches that I receive needed care and suggests ways I can stay healthy.

Dr. Kovar is a rarity among physicians today in that his commitment and caring hearkens back to an earlier time of medical care when Dr. Kovar's level of care, professionalism, time spent with a patient, just plain excellence wasn't so unusual. I researched and chose Dr. Kovar as my mother-in-law's physician a few decades ago and then added myself and my wife as patients. This is a really smart physician who is the personal physician for other doctors in our area, but I gotta tell ya, "really smart" is only the door-opener. Gerry is also thorough, generous with his time and above all, available. He calls personally with one's test results the same day the lab completes them. He encourages calling with questions or problems and his terrific medical office person, Sarah will often ask him your question while you hang on and has your answer immediately. If you call Sarah to renew a prescription, she likely will send in the Rx to the pharmacy within the hour. I am a Registered Nurse and have many professional relationships, and personal ones, with physicians in the state. Dr. Kovar and Sarah are in a class by themselves.(PS: the address that Yelp has for Dr. Kovar's office is a prior one; his current address is on Burbank Blvd in Tarzana, adjacent to Tarzana Hospital.)

Dr. Kovar has been my physician for over 20 years and he has always done more than his best for me as a patient. He is very patient, caring and kind. Dr. Kovar and his assistant Sarah are a perfect partnership. They always gone above and beyond to take care of me and I am so very grateful for that. Dr. Kovar is truly one of a kind family doctor and I am in the best care.

Dr. Kovar is the most competent and caring physician I have ever known. He always makes time for visit or call, even when he doesn't have it. I appreciate that he stays current with all medical advances. I couldn't have a better doctor.

I was very impressed. Dr. Kovar is a knowledgeable, careful and caring physician. He has solved some of my medical issues that baffled the specialists I was seeing. He even came to my home to help me in an emergency. Dr. Kovar now also cares for my wife and son as well.

I have been seeing Dr. Kovar for many years. He is very knowledgeable and makes sure I receive the care I need. I have an easy time getting an appointment and never have to wait in his office more than 5 minutes to see him. He is warm, caring and listens to my concerns. I highly recommend him.

Doctor Kovar is the best doctor ever!!! He has been both my husband's and my mother's doctor. Time after time he has gone above and beyond the expected to give excellent medical care. It is clear that he is experienced, competent, and truly cares deeply about each of his patients. He is willing to spend as much time as needed to attend to all medical concerns.
