List of Douglas F Carrasco's Reviews
While I never met Dr. Carrasco, I did have the pleasure of meeting his PA, Leah Slater who is stellar. She is sharp, knowledgeable, and had an excellent manner. However... the reason for the one star is because of the office staff and their inability and lack of initiative to do what they are supposed to do. Lupe, MA, seems to be playing dumb in that she fails to send letters to medical necessity to insurance companies even after two months of requests. Requests from myself and the insurance company were met with rude and snippy comments, ignored, and I was told that I had to do this myself. This is ridiculous. Phone calls were made, letters, written and no action from their end at all. Both the insurance company and I have filed grieveances against them. Obviously, I have moved on to a new PCP. Ms. Slater needs to run fast before this office ruins her career. People will die because of Lupe, MA.
No, just no!!! This office is incompetent in every department you'd need a doctor for, everything from actually seeing a Dr, to keeping the appts and not canceling them once you arrive to your appointment, to getting refills on medication for anything from vitamins to vital medication needed to keep you alive. I've had to have insurance intervene on my behalf just to get refills on medication, otherwise the staff didn't feel the need to do their job. May the force be with you if you choose this dr office.

Dr. Carrasco is worthless. I've never found him to be particularly sharp and definitely not warm or user friendly. Getting prescriptions filled is like pulling teeth. They ignore requests for days and he and his staff don't trust that you understand your own needs. The last straw was when he made a mistake in prescribing a medication and his staff demanded I come in (and pay for) an appointment to correct the mistake. I was told they can't adjust my medication without seeing me, even though it was the doctor's mistake to begin with.
Pam was excellent...but Leah is just a little bit better :)
My wife has attempted to get an in person physical without success for the past 3 months. He has been "her doctor" for a year but she has never met him.He is way too busy to see new patients.Don't waste your time selecting him as your doctor. He won't see you.
About a two wait every time.but good service.
Did not care for staff
Dr. Carrosco has been my physician for many years. He is kind and knowledgeable. And current staff is terrific.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
