I have had some awful Doctors in my day but he is definitely one of the worst. I have a rare genetic disorder called EDS and went to Synovation because multiple MRI's showed multiple torn ligaments cartilage and tendons. But when Dr Tahaei heard EDS he grabbed my injured arm and carelessly yanked on it. When I yelled in pain he dropped my arm and said you don't have Hyper mobility you can barely move. ...

I had a lot of shoulder pain and needed a cortisone injection. Needles make me very nervous. Dr Tahaei noticed my tension and took the time to explain the procedure to me in depth. He also talked to me throughout the procedure. Having checked into the procedure online, I realized Dr Tahaei was using ultrasound to guide the needle, and this made me feel so much better (I know many doctors just aim for the right spot). To my surprise, Dr Tahaei told me the procedure was finished before I knew he had even began! It was easier than I ever expected. Best of all, within a few days my shoulder felt amazing. I'm really glad I found Dr Tahaei as my PMR doctor!

His office staff calls me 20 minutes before my appointment to see if I could come in early (really?!!) so obviously he wants to leave early. When I get there, his nurse rushes me in the back room (I have chronic back pain and can’t move very fast) . Once Tahaei walks in, the first words out of his mouth are “show me where the pain is.” I asked him if he had a diagram that I could point to because it hurts to reach behind my back and point. He scoffed at me and said, well you’re still going to have to point at something. Then he proceeds to do muscle movement tests (mind you I was so stiff as I only had an hour of sleep the night before I saw him as the pain was so severe. He asked me to raise my arms above my head. I could only go so far so he had the nerve to take his hands and force them to go higher which hurt extremely. This guy is an arrogant *sshole. This has all happened in under two minutes where he concludes to tell me he does know what’s wrong with my back and was going to leave it at that. Um, no I didn’t drive 30 minutes and pay a copay to see a so called “specialist” to be told I don’t know what’s wrong with you. So I asked him for an MRI, which his response was you don’t need one, 95% of the time they come back normal. I said well give it to me anyways. He again scoffed but signed me up for one. I had to ask him to work with my pysical therapist (that’s his job as a physiatrist) which his words to me were “she’ll see my notes” (really?!) this guy sucks so bad. He doesn’t care about you, he doesn’t do anything he’s supposed to do to help you. Waste of time! Fast forward to the results of my MRI, it came back that I have stage 4 osteoarthritis in my spine and ribs. He’s an idiot! Don’t see him! Go to anyone else! I’m baffled that Kaiser has such an incompetent person working for them.
