I just had my first visit on 9/21/22 The staff is very caring and has knowledge in their field that surpasses all my expectations. My visit with an actual DOCTOR was incredible. He spent a reasonable amount of time explaining things to me that made so much sense and I walked out of the office feeling like he cared about my physical problems, I think we are now finally on the road to getting a solution to the fainting, dizziness, and blood clot issues, that I have been suffering from for the last 7 years. I feel so good about Dr. Castellanos and I highly recommend him and his staff. They all are so professional and caring people. The Doctor asked who recommended him... Well, I know now it was the Lord my God showing me the way to a true and honest recovery.

I have been a patient with this doctor for over 33 years, on monday, September 20th, 2021 I called after 9:30 to arrange for a doctor visit based on the fact that I could have bronchitis this is based on the simple fact that I've had bronchitis several times and pneumonia several times so I know the symptoms and I was trying to alleviate or minimize the possibility of the bronchitis turning into pneumonia. However, when I called the receptionist told me that the earliest I could be seen by the doctor would be the first week of October I was really surprised that I would be treated like a newbie patient after all these years. Advise receptionist if I waited that long I would surely have pneumonia there after I terminated the call.

They asked to rate him with a star and I would not highlight any but they make you. Misdiagnosed a family member and caused harm to this person/his patient. Stay far away from this doctor he should be retired. Do not let him do anything to you except refer you to a specialist. Scary doctor.

I have been a physician for almost 20 years. During that time, I have never "withdrawn care" from a patient simply because they questioned my care plan. I had one visit with Dr. Castellanos as a new patient, upon moving to Templeton. He ordered a battery of tests that were unnecessary, wasteful, and incorrect, in some cases. For example, you will not get accurate information from a serum FSH and estradiol level in a female who is ACTIVELY taking birth control nor do you order a urine culture unless the urinalysis shows any suspicion of infection. Additionally, rather than a standard EKG, he wanted to perform an unorthodox doppler procedure for which he had a patent - that would not be covered by my insurance. Also, he wanted to escalate care to an endometrial biopsy that he would perform (and bill for), when the OB/Gyn I saw 3 days told me that was a ridiculous waste of healthcare dollars and not the standard of care - based on my symptoms. Because I did not get the unnecessary tests and procedures, and because I told his secretary that my insurance wouldn't cover the doppler, I received a letter in the mail that he was "withdrawing care." He didn't call or ask to discuss the care plan. I just received a withdrawal of care letter. I am shocked, and neither I nor any of my physician colleagues can get our heads around the arrogance and insecurity that would drive such unprofessional behavior. Imagine if I, as a pediatrician, withdrew care every time a parent asked to delay a vaccine!

When you become a patient of Dr. Castellanos, you will be surprised by all of the medical fields he has been trained in. He even has a patent on a device that measures the efficiency in the arteries in your feet and legs. You don't have to wait long to receive an appointment and the wait in the lobby is minimal before you see him. He is very thorough and takes copious notes to keep you informed of your progress. If a medical problem is beyond his area of expertise, he will recommend top medical practitioners in their fields.

All encompassing care. And I do mean actual care. Dr Castellanos has been my Dr. for at least 10 years. I feel very fortunate to have him and his excellent staff.

I went to visit this doctor for the first time, I was received right on my scheduled appointment time, the people were very nice to me, and the doctor is very proactive looking at a better way to live healthy, which i appreciated very much.
