Caring for the sick? Nope! After going to the ER, I called. 1st one schedule was out then another scheduler couldn't help me then they would need to check my insurance to see if they would even take me as a patient. Then they had a meeting to go to and couldn't talk to me. Finally they called me back 2 days later and when I respectfully voiced my grievances, she left it with a cheery "OK. " No apology. Find some other doctor!
Great "bedside manner" and speaks in easy to understand language and has a good sense of humor. Very intelligent and personable. Instills confidence in him.
If you have to get any surgical procedure I do Not recommend this man .. he has terrible bedside manner which is just the tip of the iceberg he will not explain the procedure he’s using and when u ask questions he tries to make you look ignorant not right at all for example I was worried about my hernia surgery and tried to ask him about mesh because you see a lot of bad things used on television and social media and he smiles and said we don’t use that which I found out that he did use mesh on me he said I would have minimum pain well wrong !!! Next day couldn’t walk couldn’t rollover to eat was in Excruciating pain so I called the surgery center I went to and told them they said I need to call the doctor right away so I did and the doctor didn’t return my call till way later and he basically told me I didn’t hurt that bad I told him I did and I thought something might be wrong he sai well if you think something is wrong than go to emergency instead of having me come in and him see me since he is the one who did the surgery well I got off the phone and laid in bed for three more days in excruciating pain till I started to feel a bit better by Sunday so Monday I went and called the office to cancel my post op appt with him and make an appointment with another surgeon there or at another office they called me back 2 days later and told me I had to see him I couldn’t see another doctor I told them I never wanted to see him again then they said u might want to go see your primary doctor I have never been treated this bad by any doctor or surgeon I just wanted to share so that no one has to go through what I did
Dr Bolivar was my surgeon through my cancer and beyond. He is truly one of my favorite and most sincere and attentive physicians from my cancer care. He is helpful, kind and a great doctor.
Dr. Bolivar is a very gifted surgeon and cares greatly for his patients.
Love, love Dr. Bolivar. Explains everything so you can understand it. A very kind man. He did my lumpectomy for breast cancer.
I have seen Dr. Bolivar many times and he is excellant! I highly recommend him .
Too msny complications!
He speaks slowly, deliberately and well. He takes his communication seriously.
Dr Bolivar was on call for my surgeon the night I had surgery. I was in a lot of pain and was having severe complications with my pain medication. He was very unsympathetic, told me the complications I was having only happen to men ( I happen to be a woman), told me to quit the med and take ibuprofen or tylenol. My pain level was at an 8 and those meds would not begin to touch it. I simply asked him if he could please prescribe something else that would not cause the problem I was having. He said to go to the ER. I told him I would have to go to the ER every hour for the situation that was occurring. He said, well then you'll just have to quit the medication. I have never spoken to a more unsympathetic doctor in my life. I was told to keep my pain under control in order to heal and here I was left with no option. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
