Great Dr. who is both caring and competent. We still have some additional healing time, but everything seems to be going smoothly and we're excited for the end results of a laparoscopic bunionectomy.
I've been looking for a great podiatrist for such a long time. I had a bunion that was causing me pain and discomfort. I knew at some point I would need surgical intervention but I couldn't find anyone I could trust with my feet. I had been with 2 other podiatrists in the area before meeting Dr. Larson and he was a breath of fresh air! From the moment I met him I could tell he actually cared about his patients. So I entrusted him with my bunionectomy - he is one of the very few surgeons who is trained to perform the procedure laparoscopically! This results in a faster healing time and less complications. His secretary Taylor helped get me scheduled and she was great with emails. Dr. Larson checked on me before and after my surgery. He also made sure I felt safe before going into surgery. I was honestly so scared but I was comforted seeing him in the OR. I am currently post op at home with no pain. Will update with photos once I heal up. Feeling so grateful to be in the hands of a competent medical team. Thank you Dr. Larson!
It took about two months to get an appointment, which is pretty normal in this rural area. The initial appointment(s) went smoothly and all of my questions were answered, even the hard ones like success rates (extremely high) and complication percent (very low). He left us feeling extremely confident in his ability. It's easy to see how much he cares for his customers. A few months later a laparoscopic bunionectomy was done, and so far it seems quite successful. Another few weeks of healing is needed to be for sure, but Dr. Larson was quite happy with the end results, so I can't wait for all the bandages to come off.

I was only able to meet with the doctor once and he seemed really really nice and informative. Then he sent me for tests, which also happened fairly swiftly. Then it came time to get in to see him for a follow up and that's where the problems began. I work a schedule that changes my location between a couple different cities so I can't just drop everything to reschedule appointments easily and the last 2 times I have had an appointment set up, I get a call a day or two before the appointment, saying, the doctor just informed me that he will be out of town on the day of my appointment, can I reschedule to another day. TWICE! This is so frustrating because I then have to wait an additional 1-2-3 weeks or more before I can get another appointment, and my feet are killing me. Again, the people in this doctors office, including the doctor, are nice once you get in there but I think this is very disrespectful of this doctor to treat his patients this way, and to do this time and time again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
