I have been a patient of Dr Kowall’s for over 15 years and he has treated and performed serval surgeries on me. Dr Kowall treats everyone with the upmost respect and is very caring. The day after your procedure he makes a personal follow up phone call to make sure everything is as it should be. I have recommended Dr Kowall to many family members and friends and they all have been very pleased with his diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Kowall has provided excellent care for many orthopedic problems I've had, including two total knee replacements. He is a great surgeon and has proven over and over to be a very caring and thorough physician. I am completely satisfied with his care and respect his opinion beyond doubt. I highly recommend him.

This guy in an idiot. I saw him for knee pain. Had an MRI done. He told me that I had bone spurs and that nothing could be done. 4 months later I saw a competent doctor (Eakin) in Palo alto. He looked at the same MRI. In less than a minute he saw that there was cartilage damage and I needed surgery. Same story with a friend who saw him for shoulder pain.

I saw Dr. Kowall for a torn distal biceps tendon. Besides his kind and caring "bedside" manner, his technical excellence is top notch: I knew I could trust Dr. Kowall 100% every step of the way. The office staff were warm and friendly every time I spoke with them, and they saved me a lot of time and money in insurance too! They also take their own x-rays right there in the office - big time saver! My recovery is perfect and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Orthopedic Specialty Associates.

I had both my knees replaced at the same time by Dr. Kowall 4 years ago and they are in great shape, no pain, no limitations. He was kind, knowledable and concerned, I have recommended more people to him then he knows!
